So yesterday I was on bed and many times I wanna listen to some music while I have my eyes closed, with my Ipod. So I turn on shuffle and after a while it plays Love theme (FF4) Orchestrated. I listened to it, and in the end, I fell asleep. I got woken up by the next song in the queue, which was a metal song from Dark Tranquillity :p
I listened to it again and again and I fell asleep again
So , have you ever done that with FF music? If yes, which track?

(this thread looks like its gonna die soon but anyway I wanted to make it)

Yeah... I had my Winamp on, and was listening to classical music, but I wasn't aware that the shuffle was on... and it went to Amon Amarth's song, "Annihilation of Hammerfest". One of my favs, but I was jolted awake by it.

I think some songs are just... made to put you to sleep.

I fell asleep several times... Once it was with Eyes on me from FFVIII, the second time it was with The Descisive Battle from FFVI, but I was listening to the Black Mages version not the original... And others I can`t even remember... It had happened so many times... But it`s not because the songs were boring, it`s because they relaxed me so deeply that I even was able to sleep while listening to them...

Well, this isn't FF related, but I once slept through a lot of Breath of Fire music. I fell asleep at Breath of Fire III, and woke up at Breath of Fire IV 4 hours later. So yeah, a lot of different music passed through my ears, but nothing really woke me up.

This isn't FF related, but I fall asleep to music from YI, Pokemon R/S/E's credits and Dire Dire Docks from Super Mario 64.

This isn't FF related either, but a bit of advice: If you're driving home from work late at night and listening to vgm music, make sure it isn't a sleepy song. Heppend to me with "Stillness Dark" from "Melty Blood". As soon as it came on, I new I was asking for trouble and hit forward so I wouldn't have to think about it.

But for the record, as long as it isn't metal, I can pretty much sleep trough anything, but Samurai Spirits (more specifically the fist titles) music is great to sleep to ... or at least relax to.

Many of the songs I collected from OC Remix page relax me to the point of sleep.

Fell asleep after a few arrangements of FF6 from OCremix: Terra's Theme, Shadow's theme, some others.

Woke up when Sepultura (metal \m/ :P ) started playing.

I think Chaos A.D. was Sepultura's best album. Soulfly... hm... Primitive.

Agreed, although I think pretty much anything of Cavalera period is excellent. (beneath the remains!) Don't really like Soulfly, also saw 'm live at a metal festival this year, but w/e, enough off topic. :P

Soulfly isn't hardcore, they're metal.

Any other video game music that puts you guys to sleep? I also fall asleep to Good Night, Mario, Fountain of Dreams from SSBM and the credits to Mario Party 2 and 3.

I fell asleep to Zelda's Lullaby, Aerth's theme, and most of the ocarina songs from LoZ:OOT I have lots more but that's to much to list. Really calming and sothing songs can put you right to sleep. ^_^ not sure why though...

Since we're abandoning the FF requirement, it's pretty freakin' easy to fall asleep to "Temple of Light" from the Fable soundtrack. Like someone else was saying about their pick, it's a great song. But it's dangerously relaxing if you're operating heavy machinery.

In those situations, I'd also avoid "Resurging of Kakariko Village" from Twilight Princess, "Town" from Diablo, "Water" from Donkey Kong Country, "The Frozen Village" from Blue Dragon, "Crossing the Hills" from Final Fantasy IX, "A Sinking Ship" from Dark Cloud, "Dog Maze" from The Secret of Evermore, and the entire Morrowind soundtrack.

I hate when I CAN'T fall asleep, even when a Zelda song is playing, or Final Fantasy. I need some really boring, put you to sleep music.

If I'm tired enough, I can fall asleep to anything, unless it's really loud and disturbing like, say, rock or metal.
For example, right now I'm listening to "Bodkin Point" from Planet Puzzle League. I'm also feeling somewhat sleepy. Were I to lay down right now... BAM! I'd be out for eight full hours. >_>

I thought the Gun soundtrack was like that. It was so boring that it put me to sleep even though it wasn't particularly quiet.

I love metal music. There's just something about it that I can relate to. But I love other kinds o' music as well.
