Does anyone know any good offline multiplayer games? Can be FPS, Racing, Survival Horror, Strategy... Or any good Hero maps for WC3 (like DOTA). Lol, i know this post sounds lame, but i need something new other than playing the same thing over and over again...

also. age of empires II and diablo II are lan capable as well. there's more than you think. and i've played all them like that and they're all great. just have friends or siblings. :p

oh yeah all of those are pretty good, but some of them we played b4. does anyone know anything more modern? i dont think we done diablo so i might give that a try. does anyone know any horror games that is multiplayer or racing games?

UT2007? Haven't played it before, but I pass by cybercafes often, and they look like fun.

if you want newer games, i'm under the impression that every new game ever made has multiplayer capabilities.

RTCW is also a damn good game.

Jedi Knight III: Jedi Academy is also damn good if you like Star Wars. W:ET and JKIII are run on the Quake 3 engine.

Q3's also a great multiplayer game.

And if you want console multiplayer, Wii Sports ftw!

Hey what about really good Co-op games or RPG style games? (other than diablo)...cant think of any games that are like that. One of my friends is into like zombies and stuff like that. Any games like that that are lan capable?

I can't remember the name of the game (and it is really bugging me), but there is a new game coming out from the team at Valve behind Counter-Strike that is a co-op game where you play as human survivors against a swarm of zombies - or a zombie in the swarm against human survivors. It sounds neat.

As for multiplayer lan RPGing, there isn't a lot of demand for that these days given that the MMOs have taken over; if you're into that, I suggest getting into an MMO. There are a few that are free to play that are decent, like Mu Online. And some games like Guild Wars and the upcoming Fury have MMO pvp play and don't require a monthly fee, although you have to purchase the game originally.

i can't say for sure cause i haven't played it yet but the back of the box for Dungeon Siege suggest it's possible to co-op. and one of the main reasons i bought it cause i too was looking for like a newer type of DiabloII game i could play over lan with my bro adventuring through some new story/game. i hope i'm right.


and here's an even bigger longshot cause i haven't even read the box for this one but titan quest is prolly the newest of those type of action rpg. and if your lucky, also allows lan/co-op.
