What's your favorite Final Fantasy game, and why?

My favorite is FF8, I loved all of the characters and the storyline was just great. Well, here's my ranking:

1: Final Fantasy 8
2: Final Fantasy 9
3: Final Fantasy 7

7 kicks ass (when it came out that is). because the story makes sense, and *spoiler* they killed off a main character which shows how evil seph is. the characters were well developed and its non stop action. my ranking is:

1. ff7
2. ff6
3. ff9
4. ff 10

I have yet to play 8. i hear it sucks though but i'll find out on my own.

1st. FF7 tied with FF9
2nd. FF8
3rd. FF10

FF7 tied with FF9- I truly loved FF7 as the best game ever, until I stumbled upon 9. It took me a little time (a year..maybe a little more than little ^^) to get into nine, but once I did, I truly love the plot, characters, events, FMV's, much much more. I can never turn on FF7, which is why, 9 is tied with it. if it weren't for 7, 9 would be the best. But so far, I think they're tied. Who knows, maybe I'll soon like 9 better than 7.

FF8- A truly great FF, you have to love the interactions with limits. Also, the characters were truly awesome. It provailed most as a romantic story. A great FF to own, for that matter, even play.

FF10- Hand it up to the FF with the best graphics, and now, it's own voice acting. The characters are pretty awesome, although i must Yuna gets QUITE annoying ^^ But that's just my opinion. I also must add that...camera angles happen to zoom in on lulu's..cleavge, quite a lot. is it just me or is Square perverted? o.o;; But getting back to the point, i must say this FF was quite challenging, and held many surprises. Although it contained these qualities, it still doesn't match up to 8, 9 or 7. Don't think it ever will either.
