UPDATE: I finally got around to reupload. yay! :D
--------

Long live lossless! Here is the ost from Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, in FLAC.

This game and Grandia were Da Games to shape my view of what is a Great Game for the rest of my life. Thus, this ost and best of Grandia are the only osts I own... so this upload ends my Long-live-lossless series :p

:smrt: So, enjoy the superior quality and the feeling of not missing out on anything:

Excellent work, dude! I haven't noticed the difference with lossless and regular music, really. I'm confounded how two of the tracks are 20+ megs large. Weird... but I love it, anyways. Glad to see some Klonoa fans around here!

I haven't noticed the difference with lossless and regular music, really.

Actually the difference between 320kbps mp3 and lossless is so subtle most people won't notice it, at least not with this music (I don't) :D But if you listen to Final Fantasy Symphonic Suite or something like that, I think you'll find that flac sounds kind of crisper and 'cleaner' than mp3.

I prefer lossless both because of the sound quality, and because I get that feeling of not missing anything (even if I don't hear a notable difference), like I said in my first post.

I'm confounded how two of the tracks are 20+ megs large. Weird...

Hmm, it seems the tracks range from less than 5mb to over 20mb. I guess that some tracks could be compressed more than others. And of course, many of them aren't very long, while some are. The average size of a flac file of about 3 minutes is above 20 megs, so I'm more concerned about the small files...

That's correct.

Who made the first Klonoa OST?
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find out that. Credits say only NAMCO as far as I have seen. It is possible that the artist or artists are given in the cd booklet, but I can't read japanese :(

IT RULES!!!

Yeah! :coolegg:

Grandia is a GREAT game I still remeber the first time going around town looking for the legendary weapons, going up the end of the end of the world wall, and the final stage... IT WAS HUGE!

Grandia is the one game that proves that you dont need CGmovies to make a good RPG. All you need is a good battle system, good characters, a cool plot and lots of fun events and dialogs.

Just in case you miss this. There is a klonoa Fan cd. Here are the samples.

Could someone upload just the Sad Forest Drum flac?

Also, another reason why FLAC is good: Youtube uploads.

I'd assume so, anyway.

Aw man, I wanted to hear this soundtrack. :( The only thing that I could suggest teblad is to upload to some torrent and post the link to that torrent here and possibly in other sites/forums such as this one. They won't be removed but you do have to worry about whether there will be a continuous supply of seeders and stuff of that sort.

Hello I was wondering if you knew a place that did the Opening soundtrack to Klonoa 1. As vgnusic has it but gh.ffshrine web hasn't here's a link to the song. http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sony/ps1/index-gr.html
So it doesn't work for itunes but for Windows Media player so do you know another place?

Watch what you're saying.
Klonoa is better than Sonic. You never hear of a bad Klonoa game, and theres a bad Sonic game released almost every year.

HOWEVER, I don't know why Sonic was even brought up. Klonoa and Sonic are not rivals. They're not from companies that are rivals, their gameplay couldn't be any more opposite. Klonoa is slow, creative, requires some thinking, and some skill to a degree in bonus levels. Sonic is fast, repetitive (hold right to win for the 1st 2-3 worlds of every game), nearly no skill, and pretty much all you do to keep from dieing is to not fall in a pit, because no regular enemy has given trouble sonic in the history of ever.

No, I only ripped as a test. Afterwards, I just copied the files directly off the disk to the hard drive. That is my current method, and I am not changing it. The disk is perfect, and each file is error-free, so there is nothing wrong with my method. Please don't be paranoid.

Also, bumping to share this wonderful piece by Hitoshi Ariga, the animation director for the Klonoa movie project:
