I just bought this gameshark and all I want is a list of codes for Final Fantasy X2. It says that its there but how the heck do I get the codes I need to APPLY them to the game? This is very frustrating..It also came with a "Pin number" and it says it is needed for access to database cheats at gameshark.com. I went there..and there was nothing talking about some stupid Pin number! Please help me if you've used the gameshark before with FFX2.

Thanks. =)

You think that's bad? My GameShark fucked up on me. I put it in one night, and the damn thing wouldn't load up. I had tried to use it on Dragon Quest VIII, but that game is fucked up too, maybe it fucked my GS up, I dunno. I need a new one...

here's how:
1. insert gameshark disc
2. look at the cheats list
3. find FINAL FANTASY X-2
4. it should have all the codes available for FFX-2(similar to the one in the websites)
5. click on the codes you want activated(they should be blinking if you selected them)
6. after that, go to the main menu, and choose the very top option. after you select that, it should tell you to insert the disc of the game(FFX-2, in this case).
7. inser the disc(REMEMBER: you don't have to reset your playstation 2. just open the tray without resetting, and insert the FFX-2 disc.
8. if you did it right, the game should be running, and when you start a new game or select a saved file, the cheat would be activated.

this is what i do with my gameshark, and so far it's good. i'm not sure if different versions of gameshark have different ways of activating codes, but this is worth a try.

Gameshark is quite old. If it's too confusing or if it's no longer applicable, you might consider upgrading to Action Replay or Code Breaker. Both offer a comparable code archive, especially on more popular titles such as the Final Fantasy series.
