Hey, I'm so stoked lately to exually learn to draw manga, does anyone know some good sites wich explain how to draw manga?
Maybe a site in wich is being explained step by step how to slowly learn it, beginning very easy because I'm not that long into
manga/anime (I've only seen the commercial ones; like ninja scroll, SF alpha..), I have practise mostly a kind of DBZ-stylee, but my style keeps changing to much more serieusly stages. I like a lot of styles, so anything is good, I'll see for myself if it's cool enough. Somebody has tips/hints/links etc? thanx.

Howtodrawmanga.com has some tutorials by Julie Dillon (a manga artist). They explain the basics, and how to draw some characters like Rei (Evangelion), Cloud (FFVII), and Lina Inverse (Slayers).

There are a lot of manga/anime tutorials on the 'net.. You'll probably find anything you need by doing a simple search with google or altavista.

That's a pretty good site, Nymph. Way too much work, though. Anime is suppose to come naturally. I don't have to draw any of those guide lines to keep my drawings in proportion. When you draw as much as I do, it just comes naturally so you don't even have to worry about proportions. Anime isn't that complicated, really. Look at manga artists. Do you think they draw guide lines for every single one of their pictures in their manga? No, because it would take too long. They're so good at what their doing, they're fast and efficient.

I know megalomania, but those tutorials are for beginners.
The lines just show the basics.. And it does help me. I draw a lot of anime, but I usually start with drawing elipses to create a pose before drawing the body. :) I didn't use them for my manga pages though..

Howtodrawmanga.com and the "How to draw manga" books are what sparked my interest in drawing manga. Now, I don't really use the techniques and I can do it by myself, but when I was a beginner, I did everything that they told me and my pictures came out great. It's amazing how much my style has improved. However, it did take 3 years...hehehe:D
