Why do i have a feeling PS3 will make a surprise price drop this winter to go along with the new MSG.

I was surprised back when the Wii was new, but now its success isn't shocking to me anymore. After all those months with no places having them in stock at all, I kind of expected it to pass 360.

Even a few years ago, I would have been thrilled, since for a long time I really wanted to see Nintendo "back on top." Now I really don't care.

No. I base that statement on the fact that the during the previous two generations of Video Game consoles, Nintendo's sales per console have been rather abysmal. The Wii debuted strong, and is the comeback Nintendo needed in the console category. I'm merely wondering how long the Wii can sustain it's momentum. Heretofore, the Wii's sales has a nice average comparing it to the time it took the Xbox360 to accumulate those numbers. It's great to be in the limelight again in the console category, and it obviously hasn't been that way for Nintendo since the Super Nintendo. Also, I've never fretted for Nintendo in the hand held category, seeing as that's always been their forte.

There's always that nagging sense that because the competition is straggling behind now, doesn't necessarily guarantee it will always remain that way indefinitely. This is only round one of the current console wars, furthermore, and a lot has yet to develop for all three systems still. I think the PS3 has yet to show it's full potential, and until then, it would be best for anyone not to underestimate it. Hopefully as the price of the PS3 drops, so will the Wii, in order to offset the PS3's increase in sales.

Here's hoping for that sales gap of the Wii to continue widening between the Xbox360 and PS3 in the future. Cheers.

Most people I talk to say that they're debating on whether or not to get either - they're very tempted in getting the Xbox, but are cautious since their friends got burned when Microsoft dropped the price. They also say that if the PS3 were to be cheaper, they'd get it on the spot.

People and companies are already interested in Blueray, and the only reason why Paramount jumped to HD is cause Microsoft paid them off. Microsoft is trying everything they can to kill PS3 including bribery - they don't seem too confident relying on 360's popularity.

I don't believe it's going to happen. In their eyes, Sony believes they've made a price drop when they lowered the 60 GB model by a hundred bucks. If there's to be another price drop, it'll probably occur between the next summer and the '08 holiday season.

Do you realize the ratings that Halo 2 got a MAJOR step down from Halo. sequels only make the game unoriginal. As far as online campaign, not only is that going to make game play unstable, its pretty easy to friendly fire on your allies which can cause frustration. And the only reason Halo 2 got so much sales was because Halo was a good fps, then when people played it the went wtf this isn't new. And yes Gears of war is a good game, but I wouldn't say it ripped through the competition.

FF has only had one sequel X-2 and that was nowhere near as good as X.
I'm not into Zelda just never liked it mario is an adventure game, of course it has sequels, that's because there is no real "story just jump your way through obstacle course to get to Princess.

Final Fantasy - game is different from the last. The only things aside from the name that connect each one are the story elements that they use.
Zelda - same thing. What 2 Zelda games are the same.
Mario - The story is pretty much the same, the only difference is innovative game play

All these franchises have one thing in common, every game is different from the last - which is why they have huge fan followings. Why do you think we're all separated as to what FF title is the best.

Halo is just an overrated FPS. It only got popular for 2 reasons:

1. It was the first FPS to be an online multiplayer on a console.
and
2. Blizzard never kept up with the Starcraft series like they did with Warcraft, so the fans jumped over to Halo after Blizzard's poor console Ghost game attempt.

Ever since I was a child I loved Totodile. When I was just a six years old, I begged my dad to catch me one, but he didn't. Seeing as how I came from the Hoenn region, I would have to go to Professor Birch to get my starting Pokemon, and that meant I had to choose either a Mudkip, Treecko or Torchic - all great Pokemon, don't get me wrong. It's just that I've always loved that Totodile and wanted one. That's why I decided that I would go visit Johto right after my journeys through Hoenn. The big problem, though, was that I had a lot of trouble earning a badge. I tried to go up against Roxanne, but her Rock Pokemon were just too strong. I decided that I should go to Dewford Island and try my Torchic against Brawly. I was doing well in my first battle, but his Hariyama proved too much for my Torchic and my newly caught Wingull. I called home and told my dad that I wasn't really doing well in Hoenn, and just decided that I would go to Johto and try out the Johto league. But first, I decided that I would catch some Pokemon that were rare in Johto so that I would have an inherent advantage. I was lucky that afternoon when I saw a Lotad right in the water, and had my Wingull battle it. Sadly, the Lotad ran away before I even had a chance to catch it. I still have some Pokemon catching to do before I head off to Johto and catch myself a Totodile.

Zelda and FF bring changes to each and every game. Every game in the franchises have their own unique battle systems/gameplay and story, while Halo 3 will only bring a continued story, new levels, new weapons, but the same FPS gameplay. There's no change.

-Add a multiplayer online system
-Call the main character something along the lines of "Overseer Captain"
-Make regurgitated simplified battle grounds
-Differentiate everyone by the color wheel system.
-Get Sci-fi authors to create a book series.
-Make a special edition box containing a small statue of Overseer Captain.

4 player online is all they need.. If they add more it would make Legendary seem like easy.

You've never played on xbox live have you.... They have like unlimited space. they have Million and 10s of million of subscribers.. they will always have space... and space isn't an issue.. The only time xbox live ever really laggs is if the person who is hosting the game has a shitty ISP. Its completely different from playstation online.

Also, i wouldn't play with some random kid inless 1 of my friends knew him... You can choose who you get to play with. Also, the difference between LAN and Online, is i don't have to drive 10 hours out of my way just to go to a LAN party to spend 5 hours playing a game, when i can just sit home and have the same expierence.

Um... UM, sorry to burst your bubble on this one, but co-op games will be hosted locally by one of the players, so it won't take a toll on the main servers. Also, it's fairly safe to say that things like friendly fire, should they be included in the game at all, can be disabled.

I've played Xbox live before it has lagged whether it was an ISP provider Idk but one second your running and the next you've been head shot, and you were just waiting to load. Which rises another question, not everyone has a large bandwith, 256k connections do lag on online play. unless you're playing on a Lan line, some people will have hard times which is why. PlayStation online is so geat people with dial up can play.

Taking friendly fire off is gay, If your teammate can't check his fire that's his fault now if you can line up your opponents just right, they can kill each other by accident. Friendly-fire can be an advantage.... if you know what your doing. Also hosting a game can still be a hassle on your bandwith.

You've never played on xbox live have you.... They have like unlimited space. they have Million and 10s of million of subscribers..

Not many people here said they hated Halo. We don't praise the game as being the best thing that happened to mankind since the human genome deciphering. It doesn't mean we suck at it or that we hate the game. It just mean that our eyes aren't clouded by biases, fanboyism or hype.

Most people here pointed out at things that makes the games pretty average even compared to other FPSs. You've failed to come up with anything to contradict us and prove us Halo 3 will be the next Super Mario Bros.
