I have 300+ dollar because I sold my PS2 for 120 and had 200+ now I'm thinking whether I should rebuy a PS2, which is sill making games, or buy an Xbox which is not making games but has a full untouched video-game library. Decisions people.or a PSP.... dammit this is too much and I found an Xbox 360 or 189.99

If you don't have a Wii, that's my recommendation. If you do, I'd say jump on that 360.

aah crap I forgot about the Wii but I can't buy it being as it's a parlor room style game and I play about 1 foot away from my system, on my bed. and that 360, has no, HDD, meaning I'd have to fork out a good $80+for a good HDD, or a friend can sell me an extra, though I doubt. Ebay works wonders but not if you're credit card-less.

This is a more valid point than you can imagine. I set up my Wii in my room when I first got it and my chair is about a foot away from the dresser where my TV and PS2 reside. The Wiimote set up worked fine for button presses, but aiming was a no-go. I moved it to the living room and it has been used by my family and friends ever since.

Definitely need the space, both technologically and socially ;)

Dude, the last game my parents played was Super Mario Bros.

If you buy the Wii, they will play...

My mom has never played a game, and if I buy a WII, I can't play SO4 :(

I think you should wait till the fall/winter when prices might drop. Also, if you're already thinking about a next-gen system, just remember, the PS3 might not have a big library yet, but the system is still untapped of it's full potential. Just like the PS2 was with everyone worrying about the grumbles from publishers developing in Linux. Look what happened afterwards.

I don't mean to sound biased, but I wouldn't count the PS3 out yet.

I'd also recommend you forget about the Xbox, as well as the PSP. Get a DS instead or wait for that PS3.

Patience is a virtue. =]

Yes, Argus, why didn't I say DS? DS is my precious :p

Yeah but if I buy a DS all I'll play is Diamond, I don't care for much of the other titles but if I buy a PSP with a 2Gig mem cad I can play kill zone, ratchet and lank, the occasional sports, game and listen to music, watch the boondocks AND play GBA roms, and have enough for a fat PS2. ;)

Hold on to your money for just a bit longer. Wait for a good PS3 bundle. Buy. Play. Be happy.

I'm workin on the money part right now, so that's my solution.

idk why you sold your ps2. i'd get a new one with that money. especially if you kept all your games. :p

plus. isn't it like 99 now? if not it should be. :p

and if the 360 was 100% backward compatible, i'd TOTALLY go for that. your right about it's huge untouched library. so much stuff i wanna try for it.

I'd suggest a DS if you haven't aleady got one because thers loads of great titles out for it, and if I were to recomend a game I would say pokemon diamond because it's better than any game the psp, x-box, x-box 360, ps3 and ps2 has out.

I was actually going to suggest the PSP or DS for the cash-strapped-ness - considering that those are the best two systems to pirate games for.

As long as you actually buy the games when you're no longer poor :p

Now, for decent PSP games, I highly recommend Wipeout Pure or Pulse (it doesn't matter which, really), Lumines (I or II), and LocoRoco. Hours of playability right there.

I played a Lumines II demo it was pretty interesting, I think I might pick it up.

I got Socom: Fire Team Bravo, Tekken: Dark Resurrection, and Burnout Legends on my PSP. Good times good stuff. I haven't played Socom in a while, but the online is epic.
