On the PlayOnline Viewer I click play on the Final Fantasy XI screen and it starts to load the game. Then it stops and loops back to the Fanil Fantasy XI Screen. Anyone ever have that problem? Please help if you can.

Hmm, it sounds like there could be a corrupt file in either PlayOnline Viewer or FFXI. Probably the best course of action would be on the PlayOnline Viewer login screen to select 'Check Files', and then check both PlayOnline Viewer and FFXI. If any files are found to be corrupt, PlayOnline Viewer should automatically download them and install them.

If it still does this after checking for corrupt files, all you can really do is uninstall FFXI and PlayOnline Viewer, then reinstall them from scratch (make sure you write down your PlayOnline Username and password before doing this).

Otherwise, if this is your first time playing FFXI, it could be your computer isn't powerful enough to run FFXI, although usually it would throw up an error message stating that if it was the case.

Enkidoh, thank you for your advise. I did run a file check and everything came out fine. I am going to be uninstalling everything now after I gather my Playonline info. I don't thank that the problem would be that my computer is not powerfull enough because I'm running an A8N32 SLI Deluxe with an X2 4500 CPU dual core; with 3 gigs of RAM; and a 8800 GTX video card. So I'm not sure what is going on. HMM. I hope this game is great because I am really disapointed with it now.

Here's what you do: Don't play FFXI. Seriously, it has only 500.000 active users spread over like 30 servers. It has Japanese people that are too snobbish/scared to party with English people. Assuming you're just starting out, there will no one out there to party with. The beginner areas are dead. High level people just go there for the Auction House sometimes. Also, expect high level people to examine your equips and calling you a n00b. They're just elitist like that. The game is a total grind. Expect like a 1000 hours to reach the maximum level, which is 10 times as much as WoW. Even if you're an FF fan, this game ain't worth it.
