Which Nintend Gamecube game do you think had the best music? My vote goes to Super Smash Bros. Melee.

If we're talking "Only for Nintendo Gamecube" games here, I'd say Super Smash Bros Melee and Metroid Prime 2, the only two I can think of right now. Problem with Gamecube games music is that there were very few soundtrack CDs releases, other than a few like Eternal Darkness (which didn't sounded like a good idea to me) and an official Metroid Prime CD.

Of course, other multiconsole games like TimeSplitters 2 and 3 had amazing music.

Oh, and add F-Zero too.

F-Zero GX (I'm still looking for that other cutscene music without the voice and sound effects)

Starfox Adventures

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle

Tetris worlds

--------------

There are a bunch of other ones but I can't remember them right now.

I actually liked Megaman Network Transmission's music. Fireman's stage was and still is pretty nice. Naruto Clash of Ninja 2, the roof tops stage with Garaa was decent too. Of course, Melee's was very good, as Fountain of Dreams has never left my computer, CD's, or MP3 player.....or mind. :)

I would have to say both Baten Kaitos games.

Tales of Symphonia is definitely my favorite Cube soundtrack and one of my favorite soundtracks of all I time. Other soundtracks I liked were Twilight Princess, Eternal Darkness and Skies of Arcadia. They also happen to be my favorite games on the system.

I agree with everyone saying Super Smash Bros. Melee. Definitely one of Gamecube's best. Props to Animal Crossing (original Animal Crossing music beats the DS/Wii ones hands down). And Props to the person who said Skies of Arcadia: Legends.

It really depends though. Metroid Prime 1 and 2 have the best moody/atmospheric music in my opinion. F-Zero GX has one of the best F-Zero soundtracks of all time in my opinion. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle has my personal favorite Sonic themes in it. Baten Kaitos definitely stands out as well. Wind Waker is also great with Dragon Roost Island being one of my favorite Zelda themes. I actually disagree with Fire Emblem having a good soundtrack. Both GBA games (in the US) had WAY better soundtracks than Path of Radiance in my opinion. PoR was a disappointment in the music category.

Here are a couple of more soundtracks that I personally like: Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and Pokemon Colosseum.

I can't believe there has been no mention of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door's soundtrack yet. Yuka Tsujiyoko & Yoshito Hirano of Intelligent Systems put a lot of really technical production into the music, and all of the tracks contain really precise detail, even with songs that are used only once in the game. It still impresses me whenever I hear any of it.

Other than PM2
I also like:

Kirby Airride
Super Maro Sunshine
Wind Waker (Though, the soundtrack isn't easily listened to, I've found)
Animal Crossing
Pikmin 1 & 2
Megaman Network Transmission

And of course, the usuals:
Sonic Adventure 2 (though I dislike some of the songs, but most the stage themes are brilliant)
Fire Emblem PoR
Tales of Symphonia
Etc.
Etc.

Metal Arms: Glitch In The System

Lost Kingdoms, mostly the first. The World map theme is good but my favorite would go to 'Plains of Rowahl'.
