Since it seems I lack on dedication on this great share for Dragon Ball Japanese Scores. Here you have the Updated Thread. :)
This thread was originally to share the 2006 release of what "they" believe it was the complete soundtrack. But it was not. There s still so much things missing.
Gladly dynamixx already took care of getting us the complete Movie Soundtracks: ;) (Thread 75397)

Anyway, on a brief summary of this thread. Changed the title from "DRAGON BALL Z SOUNDTRACK COMPLETE (REALLY THE MOVIES AND THE SERIES)", which was my happiness speaking higher then my reason at the time I immediately shared the 2006 BGM collection, to "DRAGON BALL Z Released Japanese Soundtracks (TV Series & Movies) (Shunsuke Kikuchi)". What will be a lot better for some to read and know right away. :)

I really wish they would release a soundtrack for the GT series already. Most of the GT BGM was released on the Anniversary DB movie [which I've uploaded already *wink*], but there is a lot of music that they left out.

There is no english soundtrack for the movies. Since they're just band musics.
I don't like the majority of them, I think it should have a soundtrack, but they were too lazy for that. even though, I have the 1st movie of cooler, and in the credits you have a list of the songs that appear, you may try to look for them this way. I have never found a list of that songs, I would get them just for collection.

just for the record: Shuki levi was the first american who made the american soundtrackof dragon ball z. He just made the soundtrack on th radidtz part series, and truly enjoy more then bruce falconer.
Shunsuke Kikuchi, the original japanese composer of both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. I love more maybe because it was my childhood songs, and now it's very nostalgic and makes me remember when I was a very cute kid.

i have know four specific bgm music from dragon ball series that i haven't found in ANY ost at all, these are extracts of the episodes, i put them in a zip in megaupload (it's only 2mb), altough the 4th music i haven't found where it appears in the series to get a sample, i will upload later. But it's like, i have listen to just about ALL soundtrack cds and never found these 4 bgm's, i would like so much to know if by hearing them, you recognize them and if you have a "clean" version of them (i mean, without the voices from the series and sound effects) from a ost or not.

The db.mp3 one played many times in dragon ball, in the tenkaichi tournaments, and even in dragon ball z very rarely.
The dbz.mp3 played a few times in the namek saga and frieza sagas.
The dbz majin boo saga.mp3 is a goofy music that played sometimes (this is a rip from a portuguese dbz version), in this situation, it was a part where Mr. satan was teasing kid buu.

Believe it or not, these are some of the BGMS i liked more, altough most of the ones i liked i already got in the OST's but these i could never found...

What really upsets me about the releases of the Japanese BGM is that this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK2dWMD14mM) track was never released. I own both the 3-disc Columbia and 5-disc Daizenshuu compendium soundtracks and it isn't included in either. song on the japanese part is the cd2 of the complete ost. that song appears at first on the movie of "METAL" Cooler. it is track 10 of the cd2, it has all the songs from that movie in one track only.

the other one i cant see. the link keeps pointing on the worng direction. it's like the movie was deleted.

What really upsets me about the releases of the Japanese BGM is that this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK2dWMD14mM) track was never released. I own both the 3-disc Columbia and 5-disc Daizenshuu compendium soundtracks and it isn't included in either. Also, a lot of the music from Movie 3 (The Tree of Might) was excluded as well as many from the Broly movies.

ongakushu was first release as a limited edition, this lemited edition has the songs or most of the rare to find songs all fans love, but the weren�t sold enough and they take it out of stores and release and icomplete shit. with some new but incomplete. as soon as i can i will upload that cd.

I can help yo by seeing the ending of that movie...it may says who is the artist. i only have seen the first OVA of cooler with the american music and the soundtrack was all composed by hard rock metal bands.

We all already knew there was never a propper release for the movies of Dragon Ball Z.
dynamixx aided us with his friends rips from the Laser Discs releases. So those we have now complete.
But today, half an hour ago, I was talking to a friend and doing some "surf" on youtube, and I came up with some new Unreleased tracks for the TV series of Dragon Ball Z. I have not yet downloaded at all, as I have not grabbed this to work on.
They are very little pieces that were not released ever before. It is one collection of 4 minutes long and another of 1:30 long, more or less.

But the REAL news I wanted to give here is about the Dragon Ball Movies soundtracks. At least I found one full suite of 13 minutes of soundtrack for the second movie. I am not really thiking to split the tracks... I might do it. Don't know yet. BUt it seems someone has ripped all 3 movies in full suites. The problem is, I could gather information about being ripped from Funimation DVDs (or whatever is the name) for that subject of 5.1. The second movie of Dragon Ball Soundtrack.... I can get it ... But I am trying to hit down the other movie rips, as I know the guy did rip it. Just not found it yet.

Just wanted to let you know about this guys ;)

Ok guys, I am back on my work for the japanese soundtrack. Both from Dragon Ball and Z, zince it is the same composer.
About Dragon Ball:
I have been hunting down some things and learn that the unreleased tracks from Dragon Ball were actually Released. Yes they were, in other soundtracks from Shunsuke Kikuchi. The same can be said in DBZ. You do notice that little song from Tiger Mask Opening theme in the Bio Brolly movie when Goten, Trunks and A18 are fighting those weird dudes of the Jaguar guy,
So the "unreleased" tracks from Dragon Ball were actually in Doraemon and Abarenbo Shogun scores.

About Dragon Ball Z we dont have much more unreleasead tracks to work on. We already have it all thanks to dynamixx (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f91/dbz-movies-definitive-edition-75397/3.html#post1937200).

So right now I am more working for the Dragon Ball side. :) Sadly , we may have some , just some tracks they might have some sfx. But that does not kill the music at all. ;)

So its like this.

It is 1 hour and 29 minutes long this project.
It has:
-> 2 tracks which are Montages, combining various tracks in one, working as Symphonic Suite. :)
-> 26 tracks, unreleased tracks from Dragon Ball, ripped from DVD
-> 13 tracks, unreleased tracks from Dragon ball Z, ripped from DVD
-> 11 tracks, which are bonus stuff, and suprises. :p

It is all done and currently tag. As well with a txt file with a lot of infos.
I just need to work on the covers for this thing, and will soon be able to share it. :)

OK everyone, while I was ALMOST finishing the booklet I had to revise everything. And I will have to make everything from scratch again.
My issue now is this:
Long time ago, back in 2000 or 1999, it was broadcasted in my country's tv channel, for the first time the 2 last Broly movies. The ending theme of the Bio-Broly (know as "Dragon Power Mugendai") was actually instrumental, and since then it has been my favorite song just because of the instrumental. Sad it was when I found out that there is no instrumental track of that song anywhere, Officially.
So what did I had to do ? Go look for my tapes...
but for my luck, a portugueses, like me made a torrent with the Portugueses versions of all DBZ Movies. (NOte that I am saying Portuguese, as in Portugal... not Brazil. People tend to think Portuguese and Brazil is the same, and that annoys me a LOT).
After all movies are download I will check all ending themes and if they are instrumental as in Bio-Broly movie I will rip them and add it for this collection. This movie I already ripped the instrumental track (so freacking addictive *.*) now I just need to get the rest.

Been donwloading from a patriot Portuguese Dragon Ball fan who ripped all the Portuguese Dubbed Movies DVDs (released like 4 times in different years... for no loci reason at all)
I was so happy to finally rip the "Dragon Power" instrumental theme. ^^ Apparently it was the portuguese that decided to cut the vocals. I originally thought it was the french so I was looking for the french dub. The reason why I was looking for it was because even dubbed the titles of teh movies were french, so I took that "clue". So lucky that there is Portuguese Fan Legion Bigger enough for me to be able to ge the dvd rips. ;)

My country is so stupid. The movies "Fusion" & "Dragon Reborn (the tapion one)" and last 2 OVAs of BROLY ... here goes the story:
"Fusion" and "Dragon Reborn" came here to the cinema as MOVIE, so there is no ending for the "FUSION" movie. The stupid thing is that they were both released in VHS in my country in 2 Tapes in same case, but as I could find out... the label with the rights from those did not re-released them in DVDS. Instead, they released all Dragon Ball and Dragon Ballz from 1 to 9 DVD (even excluding the 2 TV specials. even more weird when they were releases in VHS back in the dasy by this same label.).... Those, do have some instrumentals never even ripped anywhere (not all, but some.) The Brolly movies are the most stupid ones...
because there was a complete different cast for the dub there was not even a VHS release for them. Meanwhile, 2 portuguese channels here, insist to Broadcast (more like teasing) both Movies as one movie, therefore there is no ending for the second movie of Brolly.
These movies I am talking could only be ripped FINE from TV. Yes, TV RIP. But the sound is fine, at the best the man could do it for the portuguese legion of fans.

I am planning it for December. I got other projects that needed my attention first. I am currently trying to finish one, after it, I will go back to this one.

Back in february when I was going to finish this, my laptop died.. so I had no computer for weeks, till I got payed to buy a new one. Now this weekend I was going to to this, and I took a horrible scare of my new computer dying too. I got it fixed, but now it's the monitor that died.
So, I am going to wait for christmas promotions so I can buy a new one.
Honestly, now I remember why I this project was called off so many times. Everytime I went on working with it, something had to happen.

bad news... Got my computer back and all my works and projects... are no more. including this one. To be honest, I have not more motivation continue with it. I just lost too much music data and image collection....

Very bad news indeed, I'm sorry for that! As I previously stated, remember to always keep a backup of your future files/projects!

A good solution would be to buy 2 identical hard drives models, for example with a storage of 2 TB, to make a backup of files by using a great free software like this one:

FreeFileSync | Free Security & Utilities software downloads at SourceForge.net (http://sourceforge.net/projects/freefilesync/)

By doing this, if one hard drive crashes, then you'll still have a functional copy of the files stored in the other hard drive!

if money grew on trees I would have the luxury on doing what you said... but right now... it' is just impossible.... :(

In addition, the bonus and special material I was waiting to add on this project, have become more then enough, and I have to choose carefully this "special gifts" in a way that it will give you all a good musical experience.

I just got my backup files, from last February. During the time I manage to rip certain tracks, those were not backed up. Although I was sure it was... :/
I have not all my tools yet installed to start working on it. Rest assure that as Soon as I can, I will get back to this and finish it.
I really have to finish this one so I can move on to the American Dub unreleased music, which are a lot to work on.

yes. We've been working on those. All of them are (were) in this project.

the bgm were pure class between db to dbz frieza, was very good in android saga, but clearly mediocre in buu saga, i just like 2 battle themes from that saga that's it

Majin Buu saga had not much of new stuff. I think Shunsuke Kikuchi got tired of DBZ, because toei just used the music they owned. So, you are hearing the Majin Buu saga witrh a lot of tracks already used even in the movies. It is just weird to hear the Red Ribbon theme in a Buu appearance. They just re-used a lot of music stuff. Takeshi Ike was the only one making some music for the Buu saga.

Just letting you guys know that in the middle or end of February I will get back to this unreleased rips.
I have just calling it a Vacation for myself. And rest a lot, before I get to my projects.
I might work first in ripping Street fighter 4 ova soundtracks and Then give my attention to this. Honestly I kinda felt the mood for my projects after some events. But I really to get back my love for you all, and work on this with much dedication as I can. Doing it just for doing it is not so fun and is not so good in results.
