They all suck. Fresh Prince, however, I would actually buy the DVDs.

Saved by the Bell always got me with those cheesy sorta-techno dance numbers they had...I don't know what the hell they were but someone was either drunk, high or looking for a good laugh.

Fresh Prince superior.

Saved by the Bell inferior.

Every single one of them sucks, America completely fails at sitcoms, I enjoy sitcoms like "On the buses" and "Keeping up Appearinces"

Fresh Prince. I would vote for Saved By the Bell but in the end it's the cheesiest out of both. I still laugh at the "Jump on it" dance number Lol.

America completely fails at sitcoms,

Ever seen shows like Scrubs, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Spin City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, My Name is Earl, Seinfeld, Newsradio, or anything like that?

TheSTE

My name is earl is awesome! Fine example of US comedy :D

Of those choices Fresh Prince is definitely the best. It's not quite as "HEY I'M SHOVING MORALS RIGHT UP YOUR ASS" as the others were. There's some of that, but it's not quite as sugar coated.

None of them would be on my top comedies list though. And no, America does not "fail" at sitcoms, it's had a shit load of brilliant ones, and I totally agree with OH ZING!s list there, all great, as well as the fucking king of them all: Arrested Development.

Fresh Prince, just because it's SO funny!

I chose fresh prince because all the others are corny and annoying, but the best (recent) sitcom of all has got to be friends. I think it's way better than seinfeld, the everybody loves Raymond, than that 70's show (although this one is really good too)

(btw, I could be wrong, but iirc, it's called family matters)

I've seen Saved By The Bell, and to me it's yet another everyday teen comedy meant to attract schoolgirls. Fresh Prince, oth, way better. Will Smith ftw.

Fresh Prince of Bell Air. I still watch that show when it comes on the-N.

Second place would be Family Matters because who can resist Steve?

Argus Zephyrus

This is it! This is what I'm talking about, Jerry! We get no recognition from these younger generations! You know what the problem is? Kids these days don't know real comedy when they see it! They don't know at all! They have no frickin' clue, no class, no sophistication. *scowls*

I would have to say "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" is the best sitcom out of all the ones mentioned, but I hated how the first Vivian Banks was replaced.

Fresh Prince, it's hilarious and I love Will Smith

WickerChairs
06-11-2011, 05:29 AM
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is the least objectionable from that list, but

I contend that any comedy that has a laugh track to let you know when to laugh is not funny.
