Actually, this was an actual CD release back in 1996. The correct title is Dragon Ball Z: Original USA Television Soundtrack and the music is by Shuki Levy (of Power Rangers fame) and Kussa Mahehi. I don't know what the album number is. There is also a CD release of the very first Dragonball soundtrack which is also called Dragon Ball: Original USA Television Soundtrack (STCD-600). That music is by Peter Berring.

It's more than likely that's what they did. As back in 1996 anime was still a kids forum. And demand for this music was not that great. But I agree, Shuki Levy is a wonderful composer. Even the work he did on Power Rangers is great. Out of the three American composers who worked on DBZ, I would choose Levy hands down. Anyway, I do have the Dragonball: Original USA Television Soundtrack. But I also got a download from here: http://www.boladedragon.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=42081. They have others there too.

I'm not sure. But I do know that there is also a Dragon Ball soundtrack out there. And you might also want to grab the Songs of a High Spirited Saga CD, which you can find on this site. That one has some great American versions of the Japanese opening/closing themes.
