I am posting these pretty indiscriminately, so the stuff that looks good and the stuff to lol at is all jumbled together.

When I first seen that secret Abrams thing poster I was like "Wow, look at that!" but having researched it, it actually looks pretty crappy and dumb. As far as I can tell, Abrams' name is only attached to generate hype. I guess I shouldn't complain because now he can focus all his energy on Star Trek, but it is pretty exploitative if his attachment is so disingenuous.

Anyway, I think that American Gangster looks brilliant, Stardust and the Golden Compass look great but sort of samey and Beyond the Gates is really intriguing but I can't find any real info on it; anyone who knows release dates or anything, I'd be much obliged. Also, Seed looks really scary, too scary for me.

It comes out in November in the US.

I don't think you guys will get it till 2008, but if you are okay with torrent I am sure it'll show up online before then.

Introducing the Dwights came out in Australia about a month ago under the title Clubland, it's very good, go and see it.

Definitely gonna go see a fair few of them, particularly Halloween (loved Rob Zombie's films so far, reckon this will be great) and Resident Evil, only because of Milla. The Stranger's also got my intrigue.

There have been so many horror films lately with identical posters/designs; 100 Tears, Seed, Trick r' Treat, Blood Trails, Unearthed, The Alphabet Killer. They all remind me of SAW or the Texas Chainsaw remake artwork.

I thought Jet Li retired?

he was supposed to retire (from acting from what i understood) i had heard that he was producing or directing a film with jackie chan, i guess he just couldn't stay away from the action (i doubt this is the film he was working with jackie chan on)

Out of all of those posters (just based on the posters) i'd probably be most interested in:

Lust Caution (uuhhh not quite sure what it's about but i'll give it a chance)
The air I breathe
War (i love jet li..........i just have to watch it)
The Spiderwick chronicles (i'll give it a chance)
The city of violence
the countess (i'm a sucker for those kind of movies :swoon: )

that's just based on the posters, i haven't read anything on the movies
a few i wouldn't go see if you payed me :-\

John Cusack IS brilliant

Finishing the Game - I had an opportunity to be an extra in that, as a boom operator on a porn movie set, but I over slept. That's fine though, I hate being on camera and being an extra is crazy boring

I'd be happy to make a trailers thread if there's interest, but it will probably not be anywhere near as epic.

Blindness and Towelhead are the most interesting ones from that batch, and the latter only because I see it is written by Alan Ball and American Beauty might be my favourite film. Top 3 anyhow.
