It doesn't appear to have any use from what i've seen, but the same could be said of the piano in FF7 (in Tifa's room), but there was a reason for it in FF7 so there is most likely a reason for it.

P.S: Can anyone tell me how to fight Omega (I know the room I just don't know what to do there).

From the entrance of the castle, go right untill you're in that room with a big bell. The bell says that monster can hear it roaring or something a like. Ring it and get your ass to the chapel and fight Omega.
Just use holy war, aura, meltdown and have fun ^_^

If you walk right from the fountain outside the 'Omega room' you should see an entrance but it's closed with bars, right. If you go up to the piano and press all buttons on the controler, exept start and select, you should hear a sound and the bars should rise a little,,,,,i think . It's been some time since i did this but i think you should basicly do this over and over til the bars have rissen all the way so you can enter....Maybe you have got to use the watergate key first, to get the water out of the way.

And to fight Omega, do what Tekno said but remember to ring the bell with the team your not going to use in the fight. Instead you should have your fighting team stand at the 'green-party-changing-thing' by the fountain. So when you've rang the bell run over to the 'green-party-changing-thing' in the bell room and change team.

the piano is just there as a defining feature for the room, its doesnt do anything. its just so u can say "omega is in the room with the piano" instead givin awkward directions.

If you play all the keys at the same time, at a certain part of some dumb sidequest in the castle, something will happen, open a door, but I've never done it.

firstly its a pipe organ and it has no use that i have seen in any sidequest but i may be wrong

to fight omega have your hardest party on the green pad next to the fountian outside the room where omega appears and get your other team to ring the bell in the room to the right of the enterance a monster can be heard roaring far away and i min count down will appear in the top corner then go to the green pad and change party. run in to the room andrun into omega if you can do it with 20 sec to spare

have selphie on your strong team and get her to lv 100 before the battle at the start of the battle get her her limit (use aura) and if at lv 100 the end should appear within the first 10 spells makin the battle easy

First you will need to get the Floodgate Key from the room to the left of the elevator room (you have to send your lightest party up the elevator by leaving them on the left-hand one, then taking your heavier party in from the right-hand side to raise the elevatror). Close the floodgate by using the key in the keyhole next to the entrance to the prison cell.

Now go to the piano/organ you're talking about and play ALL the keys at once. Now go back out into the screen outside the chapel and go right. If you go right from the fountain, you will see an entrance to the right. If you played the organ correctly, all the bars should have gone, if not, try again. There is a Rosetta Stone along that path, and it leads back to the prison cell. :)
