Jecht is an insanely easy boss, so I'm just going to suggest you level your skills more. Unless you swear by one of these 'challenges' that don't allow you to use the sphere grid or summat like that.

Some Abilities: Okay, first of all, if you don't have Lulu's double cast+flare then you definitely need to get it. Get Yuna Auto-Life, Holy (atleast Holy), Full-Life (you can find this ability on Rikku's sphere grid), and Hastega (Just use a Wht Magic Sphere and it is very useful). If you haven't trained Wakka in a while, it would be a great idea to do so as you can use him and Lulu's doublecast+flare on the Yu-Pagodas. But I'm pretty sure that Lulu already can kill the Yu-Pagodas with one doublecast if you have trained her properly. If you have Ultima, substitute Flare for it.

Weapons and Armours: Regarding weapons and armour, get Yuna her Nirvana which is her Celestial weapon. It's easy and one of my personal favourites. Another celestial weapon you can get without too much hassle, would be Rikku's Godhand. You did mention that you don't use her too much so you don't have to worry about getting the Godhand. For Lulu's doll, if you have defeated Belgemine in the Remiem Temple I think you get a bunch of Three Stars.....Well anyways customize those to Lulu's Doll and you should have the autoability to only have her spells cost 1 Mp. I highly recommend those, for the rest; Just customize whatever is handy! Like Auto-Haste, Auto Protect, etc. Remember, you can't go wrong with Auto-Scan and you need Stoneproof (or atleast Stone-Ward) armours. You need items to customize. So this is where Rikku can come in handy to steal/bribe items for you.

One thing to keep in mind when you're customizing weapons: Jecht and the bosses after are pretty strong against anything elemental. As a general rule, don't use elemental weapons!

Aeons: Don't use Aeons on his first form!! It's a waste and if you've been doing this then you are way too weak. If anything, you could use them on his second form. After his second form, you have to face all of the Aeons (one at a time) anyways so I like to save my Aeons so that I could use them on the Aeon boss fights. I might have used Yojimbo once to save my skin from the Jecht fight....

Overdrives: Get Auron all of his overdrives. It's easy, just find a FAQ that lists all of the sphere locations. Get Valefor his second overdrive by talking to the kid with the dog in Besaid. You don't have to get Tidus' last overdrive, just be sure to get his Energy Rain. If you haven't already defeated the Omega Weapon, you could do that and get Kimahri to 'Lancet' it for his ultimate overdrive. For Lulu, use flare or Ultima and get atleast 4 hits with either one. If you like playing Blitzball, then get the Attack Reels for Wakka. For Rikku, Mix Three Stars+Three Stars for her best damage (correct me if I'm wrong) or you could mix for Hyper Mighty G (Lunar Curtain + Door to Tommorow (can steal from Ultimate weapon or Omega Weapon))

Jecht: Switch to Yuna, Lulu, and *Wakka. Depending on how you customized their armour, you're still going to need to buff up. Make Yuna cast Hastega. Then get Wakka and Lulu to pound away on the Yu-Pagodas. Wakka can do regular attacks. Immeadietly buff up Lulu with Protect because she's extremely weak to physical attacks. Continue on by buffing up everyone else with protect, followed by shell with healing inbetween. One thing that you should keep in mind: Is that each time you kill a Yu-Pagoda, the amount of damage that killed them will be added onto their health when they respawn. For example if it has 5000Hp and you use flare and causes 6000 damage to it, when that Yu-Pagoda respawns it will have 1000 Hp added to it. This can create a bit of a challenge when you over kill it then next time by 8000 damage points. If you need to resurrect anybody, use Full-Life and buff them with protect, etc. By the way, you can beef everybody up with Regen. I've never used it but if you feel confident then you might want to do that for everybody. Or if you want you can switch Wakka for Rikku and Mix for a Hyper Mighty G for everything I just described.

*If Lulu can take out one Yu-Pagoda with one doublecast of Flare/Ultima, then switch Wakka for someone else. I would recommend Tidus, Auron, or Kimahri but that choice is up to you.

When you kill both of the Pagoda's use your current character's overdrives. For Yuna, heal first then use Holy. You should have Nirvana by now, so Holy will be your savour!! Don't use Holy on a Yu-Pagoda because it does like 14000 damage points, and that will be hell for the other two characters. If anything buff everybody up with Auto-Life or use Holy on Jecht.

When he gets to his second form, continue this strategy. The sword is a pain in the ass. Just heal like crazy. Use Tidus' Talk command when you NEED to. By this I mean, if your characters are all fully healed/buffed/healthy then let them take the hit. If you run into an emergency, start using Aeons. Start with Yojimbo since you don't need money anymore. Plus you don't actually lose it when you start up the game again.

Other than all of that^^ I can't think of anything else.

Well if you customize Lulu's weapon (with Three Stars - I made a huge mistake in listing something else, I'll edit it in my first post), it should only cost 1 MP.

By the way, if you have trained Wakka enough to make him extremely strong, then you cna just substitute Lulu for him when you run out of ethers. Also, you should always use your ethers on your healer first!

If you feel that you're too slow. Try and find some Chocobo Wings and customize some "Auto-Haste" to your armours. A few quick questions:

1. I know that you don't use Rikku a lot. So do you sell items such as "Grenades", "Fire Gems", etc? I have a feeling that you might have accidentally sold "Three Stars".

2. Do you have all of the Aeons (including Anima/Yojimbo/Magus Sisters)? If you are still having trouble with Jecht, I highly recommend using ALL of your Aeon's overdrives. Anima's and Magus Sister's overdrives are life savers with 99,999 damage each - if you've levelled up Yuna enough.

3. Are all of the party members completely done their own Sphere Grid area(I hope you know what I mean)? If you haven't continued beyond each character's own sphere grid, then you definitely need to.

I recommend leveling your physical fighters in Auron's, Tidus's, Wakka's, or Rikku's sphere grid. Auron's sphere grid will give your characters great strength and defense bonuses as well as good HP bonuses. I believe that Tidus's sphere grid would give your fighters lots of speed and agility. Wakka's sphere grid is pretty well-rounded.....Maybe it gives you more accuracy? I don't highly recommend this one as I do for the others. And Rikku's sphere grid will give you lots of HP and agility nodes!!

For your mages, make them go through Lulu's sphere grid. She gives out great MP/Magic nodes that can really save a lot of magic and put out a lot of damage. You can also make them go through Yuna's sphere grid because she gives out great speed and quite a few MP/Magic nodes. I would also recommend making your mages level in Rikku's sphere grid because her HP/Agility nodes make a decently defensive Mage.

You don't have to get abilities that each character has, for example, you don't have make Yuna learn 'Steal' or the 'Firaga' spell. I personally liked everyone sticking to their own class, but that was just me. I still had Yuna learn 'Luck' and 'Cheer', but I never made her cross class. Some spells like 'Ultima', you might want to consider making your most popular party members learn that. I only had two characters know Ultima (Kimahri and Lulu - who weren't either my most popular characters!) whenever I played through the game.

Kimahri could go into any direction once you first get him. I always waited until I had Auron and Ultima before I did any serious levelling with Kimahri. For Kimahri, I suggest making him level in Tidus's and Auron's sphere grid because Kimahri can be both speedy and a pretty heavy hitter (not as good as Auron though). That's just me though. For all I care, you can have him as a second black mage, healer, or thief. But even if you've put a little bit of effort into levelling him, you can make him take down anything like there's no tommorow. Most people give up on Kimahri because he isn't anything new or individually interesting in combat (save for his Lancet ability).

I hope I had helped with the 'Three Stars' information.

No to your first question. Anima and Magus Sister's overdrives do 99,999 damage each if you've levelled Yuna enough. Yuna's level affects the stats of her Aeons. For example, the more HP nodes that she gets, the more HP her Aeons will get. The most that I had Yuna do is somewhere over 10,000 damage points with Holy.

You capture monsters by purchasing the weapons from the guy infront of the monster arena. You then have to physically attack a monster and kill it (with the capturing weapon) in order to capture a monster. I take it that you haven't gotten the secret Aeons or Nirvana? So keep in mind that you have to capture (atleast) one of every monster in Gagazet. You then receive the Moon Crest (I can't remember. It's moon something...). Capture all monsters in 9 different areas and you get the Mars Sigil (for Auron). You can only open those chests if you have the Celestial Mirror. Once again, just look up a side-quest FAQ on gamefaqs and there will be a good one that tells you everything in detail. I believe that you have to do the chocobo race at the Remiem temple.

In whatever case, you need about 250,000 gil to get Yojimbo (you need him to get the Magus Sisters). You know the area just before you get to Mt. Gagazet? Go down the ramp. Well, there is a cave there. Go in the cave. Make your way to the end and you'll eventually face Yojimbo. Kill Yojimbo. Then teleport to Yojimbo. He will ask you a question, answer 'To Defeat the most powerful enemies'. He will start is bargaining price lower than 250,000 gil. If you have the money, get him right away.

I hope you have the Baaj Temple unlocked on your map. If not, search up a secrets/side-quest FAQ on gamefaqs (I am seriously not going to give you everything). To get Anima you need to have all of the destruction sphere puzzles solved. That includes the one in Zanarkand (Search up a side-quest FAQ on that, it's a pretty complex puzzle)! When you dive in the water, you have to go through a boss fight. You need stone-proof/ward armours and Wakka, Tidus, and Rikku trained to decent stats. I just used Rikku to constantly "Use"/"Al-Bhed Potion" to heal them. He will suck them up and instantly kill one of your characters. Just revive them and continue on attacking him. Elemental attacks work wonderfully on this guy, so Wakka's Element Reels will kick ass if you get them right.

Reel Tip: I think you only get 20 seconds to get all three? It's plenty of time. Not a lot of people know this but be patient. You can see a pattern in one reel column. An example is, red circle comes after white circle. React to each pattern accordingly. Each reel column has a different pattern so don't do the same thing each reel.

Sorry but I don't have the money/technology/time to do something with Youtube. I take it that you're a visual learner?

I haven't got any other advice then what I I just typed :P . If you're still having problems after using Anima/Magus Sisters and buffing up then it is your strategy. Tell me exactly what you do when you face Jecht (both of his forms). I may be able to pinpoint where you're going wrong.

Then i cast slow on the other yu pagoda and with auron casting armor break ,i start attacking with auron, tidus and wakka till he is destroyed..Then his second form......I cant keep up with the speed of his...He attacks with his huge sword and most of the times only auron survives..Then im throwing a mega phoenix then power wave comes up and then he attacks with his hand and another character dies...... and this happens everytime but in the end i get a gameover.....What do you think??

An interesting strategy you have for his first form.....I never knew that you could slow the Yu-Pagodas? The only problem with the second part is that you got rid of Yuna. Unless you have Wakka or Tidus casting curing white magic, you need her to heal and buff. If you got her Hastega, then you should make Yuna use that when someone doesn't have it. Maybe before you kill his first form (you can tell his HP if you have the auto-scan ability - -It goes by another name but I can't remember) you bring out Yuna to substitute for Tidus or Wakka. Since you've survived without protect, it would be wise to quickly get everybody buffed before you move onto his second form. You can also customize armour for Auto-Protect if you really want. If everyone has Protect, the physical damage will be less panicking. To protect yourself from the Jecht Beam, cast Shell. One thing that you should always keep in mind: Heal first, then buff. There is no use trying to buff a party member when they're going to be killed the next turn.

The Jecht Beam shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as you have Stoneproof/Ward customized armour.

With Wakka, kill the Pagodas.

For Tidus, you can Slowga them. You have to make a choice between Wakka and Tidus. You should only need to switch a character to quickly get Tidus to 'Talk' to Jecht. Or you can get Wakka or Auron to learn Slowga to kill 2 birds with one stone (yes, it's cross-classing but it's going to be an exception). Whatever you do, don't make Yuna learn Slowga!! She has enough jobs as it is already.

With Yuna, only use Full-Life when there's somebody dead or Mega-Phoenix (the Mega-Phoenix should apply for all characters) when the other two are dead. Use Curaga to cure. Buff them with Hastega, Protect, *Shell/Auto-life -In that order with healing inbetween (if needed!). After everybody's buffed, use Holy on Jecht.

*Shell/Auto-Life - This choice depends on you. Would like less damage from Jecht Beam? Or would you like to be saved a turn to resurrect someone? I like using this on Yuna incase she gets killed so that I just have to cure her and continue on.

As a very, very, very last resort, use your Aeons!! Sure you have to kill the Aeons after this battle. And quite frankly, that would be your last chance to use them. But unless you want to train harder to kill Jecht in his second form without them, use your Aeons. Plus you can just grand-summon them anyways for the next battle. I suggest starting with Valefor and going by the order of which you got them. That way, you can just slowly get to the peak of your Aeon damage and you might not have to use the Magus Sisters or Anima.

For Auron, Armour Break. Then just attack and use his overdrives. Specifically his last one. Heal with X-Potions with him (or with Tidus/Wakka) and heal status effects with the two fighters.
