I am near the beginning of the second disc and I would like to know ahead of time, are there any cards you only have one chance in the game to get and no other chances later on?

I was just wondering because I found this prisoner in the prison while searching for Squall who has a lot of rare cards, I got about four of them but I know he has more. Is there always another person later on with them because the prisoner charges 500 gil to play?

Several bosses carry cards that you MUST get from them in battle or else you will never, ever get them. Ever. I never got Siren because of forgetting to grab it in a boss encounter.

so do you mean you had to turn siren into a card using card ability, because I don't think I had that ability at the time? Or did you just have to use draw?

What Morning Blue was most likely referring to was drawing the GF Siren from Elvoret. You can get the Siren card from the man in the upstairs part of the pub in Dollet at any time in the game.

There are a few cards you can only get at one point in the game though. For example, you can only ever get Laguna's card from Ellone at one very specific point in the game. Siren is not one of those cards.

Card Queen on disk 4 has all of the rare cards, but it's a bitch to win them from her. Plus, you have to solve all of the chocobo forest puzzles in order to access her.

Yeah, that's what I've heard too, though it's something I've never tried out myself --- I always completed the card quest the regular way. Doesn't she play using all the rules or something like that?

From Final Fantasy Network (http://www.finalfantasynetwork.com/games/final-fantasy-8/triple-triad-rules.php) --- "Uses battle area wall as 1 of card's 4 sides when using the same rule. Wall is assumed to have A' Value on all sides."
