Can you good people advise me on which game or anime soundtracks have the best traditional Japanese music in them?

I mean like Okami, but more like that - Japanese flutes, drums, the monk crys, symbals, etc.

One of the most japanese are:
- Tenchu (japanese instrumental music pure)
- Rurouni Kenshin (some pop, but the most is japanese instrumental)
- Naruto (realy cool version of japanese instrumental)
- Akira ( the monk thing, realy good)
- Princess Mononoke
- Vampire Princess Miyu ( flutes..)
- Way of the Samurai (see tenchu)
- Onimusha (not sure, never listened)

ethnic music (other culture):
- Jade Cocoon ( indigenous, asian..)
- Arjuna ( indian, asian)
- Vision of Escaflowne ( many culture, chinese, middle eastern, latin)
- Suikoden Serie ( irish and otrher)

I'd also recommend the music from the game Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru(Psychic Killer Taromaru).

Actually, if you like Japanese wind pipes, Disgaea 2's OST contains a lot due to a couple of characters being based on Ainu lineage. The rest of the OST is great too.

Speaking of Dis 2, anyone leak any of the Disgaea 3 OST yet. The game's just about finished in Japan so there must be a couple of tracks completed.

Try homeworld 1-2 for tribal drum Indian middle eastern type stuff those osts are the closest things to that music in VGM you can get
