i was talking to a friend of mine today about US nd European ports of Japanese titles. We both felt that the Euro and US ports sometimes felt dumbed down, e.g tekken games being at least 35% slower and no 60hz display in European Devil May Cry. Then we got to FFX. I can't remember the ending very well, but i remember picking up FFX-2 and thinking "Why the funk is Yuni using guns?? Why isn't she a summoner??"

He (being a FF fan for way longer then me... cus hes way older) has got his FF games imported since his uncle first did it for him with FF III or IV (it was an early Nintendo FF title neway) before giving him a crash course in Japanese. He told me that after seeing the ending in the Japanese version, the guns made sense. I asked him to explain, but he said to look it up on You-Tube. I don't have a fast web connection. (around 800 bps.. :()

So, can anyone compare the original/imported ending for me?? And how do people feel about some imports being essentially dumbed down??
