So, looks like the promised DVD of the original film before it was split up is finally coming. Hopefully it'll have plenty of extras, the DVDs of the split version were quite lacking in that area. Anyway, should be interesting.

I was right not to buy the dvds when they first came out. I knew something more awesome would come along. Yay. I wonder if there will be extra scenes. Maybe more GoGo. Kinda doubt it though.

Awesome

Now we can finally see the Crazy 88 scene without a black and white filter.

Violence ftw!

There was a deleted scene from Part 2 but I don't know about Part 1. Tarantino is the sort to include most scenes he films as far as I know, so I doubt there's too much missing footage.

I really need to see these movies again. Particularly Part 2.

And this thingo when it's released, of course.

It's about time we got to see the complete film without the black and white filter or the split. Great news; can't wait for its release!

I will wait and re-watch them with the new release. I remember going to Kill Bill 1 and not knowing too much about it and really enjoying it. I waited for DVD for the second one and wished I would have seen it in the theater like 1. Did it say if the black and white scene will be in color on the new release? I read that there is talk of a vol 2 and 3. That could be interesting if done right.

I bought the DVDs knowing full well this would probably come out, and I have every intention of buying it. I am a Tarantino whore.

I'm really interested to see how it's cut this time around. I've wanted to see it the way he originally envisioned it for a long time so I will be buying this as soon as it comes out.

I doubt it will be hugely different though, TK. It will probably just cut out Uma Thurman's recap at the start of part II and a few other minor edits. NOTHING HUGE ANYWAYZ.

Yeah I know. But there were a few things that were cut differently if I recall correctly, like some of the stuff at the end of part 1 and stuff. I don't expect anything major, just that it will flow smoother and give you an idea of how that part of it actually goes.

If it was really cool it'd have the fight with the Crazy 88 in colour, but that was greyscaled for rating purposes iirc, so they won't be allowed much movement on that.

Mossy it'll be essentially a director's cut DVD and the rating for it at the time is nc-17. It'll probably end up an unrated disc. There's a very good chance the color crazy 88 fight will be included, the rating thing was mostly just for theaters, because anything above an R rating is assured bad box office business. As far as I know people can get away with pretty much anything on unrated, directors cut type DVDs like this one.

Wha about the cartoon scene from the first film? will that be changed at all?

I liked Kill BIll vol. 1. Alot. At least alot better than vol. 2, which had no animation, and had too much fruity western-ness. And why the fck does Bill die so easily? That guy sucks major ass. What a puss... Poison?
