No, it's gone forever. Now fuck off again. The last two months have been much better without a hint of your presence.

LOL. That would be fun, but I think I'll pass on that. And it's interesting note that nobody mentioned a key point --- even if you sell your materia doesn't necessarily mean that you lose out on that ability. You could still get the Master Command materia by exchanging the Earth Harp for the Master set after defeating Emerald Weapon.

Of course, that's rather more limited in its uses --- such as that you can't do Sneak Attack / Morph with that, and could only ever use Morph with one character at a time.

its a bit annoying that you have to defeat one of the two hardest bosses in the game to obtain the best materia you can get. ah well, such is life

You don't, actually. The "normal" process to obtain a master materia is obtain the Master level of all (or most, in the case of Command) the Materia of that type and then visit the Huge Materia (assuming you obtained it) at Bugenhagen's in Cosmo Canyon.

(Of course, if you sell off your only copy of a particular type of Materia, then naturally, that locks out getting the Master Materia using the Huge Materia method automatically.)

really? i never knew that. that takes hours and hours of levelling up all your materia though; and i missed alexander the first time round as well. anyway, fair enough

if you equip materia you need to level up equip it to the Apocolypse(spelling??) or the Scimitar for triple growth and fight the Movers in Northern Crater (last level) for lots of AP.

and who is stupid enough to sell one-time-only materia?
