Who do you think is the best character in FFX? Looks, personality, etc.

Jecht. As some page on the internet described him: "Vincent Valentine after a bender."

Kimahri
looks: the guy's blue--> 'nuf said
personality: I always liked the 'silent type' warriors, plus IF he sais anything, it can sometimes be very dry and funny.
One of my favorite blue mage's! (exept Quina of course)

Yuna & Auron are my all-time favorite characters of the game (along with Rikku in a close second.) I admire Yuna's strength and resolve in completing her pilgrimage although she knows her death is imminent in the end, her desire to make Spira happy and save its people despite her well-being, and the way her character develops in the end when she eventually becomes a stronger person and realizes she does not have to die to help Spira & its people from the threat of Sin.
I loved Auron's character because of his metamorphosis from the uptight monk that once traveled alongside Jecht and Braska during Braska's pilgrimage, to the deadset guardian on completing his partners' wishes and avenging them by destroying Sin in an unconventional way. His resolve and his promises to Jecht and Braska seem to be the only two things which keep him fighting in Spira, and it sets him apart from the others as an admirable character, in my opinion.
I also loved Rikku for her carefree personality despite the prejudices and discrimination toward the Al Bhed by the rest of Spira. It was courageous of her to join as a guardian throughout Yuna's journey and still try to dissuade her from completing her pilgrimage regardless of the knowledge Yuna was deadset on it. I liked the Al Bhed in general; their language, their alternative methods of fighting Sin, their belief they needed to think for themselves instead of sticking strictly to the teachings of Yevon. Rikku's Mix ability comes in handy, too. ;)

There all good in a way.
Lulu because she's badass.
Rikku because she's a cute little sprite.
Wakka because he's the funny strong guy.
Kimahri because he's the strong silent type.
Tidus because.............hold on.............just a sec.................it's coming to me...................ah ha...........he's the main character so whether you like him or not you'd better get used to him.
And Yuna because she's a selfless summoner hell bent on the protection of all mankind.

This pretty much sums it up. Has ANYONE else noticed that? The pure summoners in final fantasy tend to be more selfless than other characters. Maybe that's the key to being a summoner...

Summoners drive me up the wall, to be perfectly honest. Give me an Ultima Weapon, Masamune, Ragnarok and Curaja and I'll bring home the bacon. No need for these summoning shenanigans.

Mayhaps this is why I like KH so much :p

Oh, and the correct answer is Wakka Wakka

I love summoners, they're always pretty and happy. Yes ultimate weapons are nice but there are always enemies that are strong against physical attacks and summoners are great to have in those situations. At least in 10 you could reduce the screen time the aeons got under options.

Oh, I'm aware. I'm just a melee guy and I'll brute force my way through anything I can.

THAT'S what I didn't like about 8, most of the time you had to use the guardian forces because the weapons sucked so much. Vice versa in 6, the summon monsters sucked and the weapons were awesome.

I'll pick Auron cuz he hits home runs.

Ha, in 8 I always had Squall in danger so I could just use his Limit.

Yeah, VIII is just pure fun. Aura is your friend. That coupled with the fact that you could bring on your limits whenever you wanted by whacking your own characters made it a very masturbatory experience :p

Getting Lionheart instead of BlastingZone is like winning the lottery though.

"Oh, you're gonna get it Omega, just as soon as I land on a LionHeart!!!"

Whoopsi, off topic. Uhhhh.....Wakka's attack reels are really cool. Yeah.

Yuna, she was a lot like a younger Rydia except more powerful. Great white magic and powerful Aeons.

My old/dead account on this forum used to be called Dark_Auron... So yeah. Auron is my all-time favorite Final Fantasy character (though Vivi and Balthier are definitely up there).

I get attached to the characters in the better games, probably why I enjoy FF so much. Especially in 10, I became extremely attached to all the main characters, even the dead ones.
