Anyone seen this film? I watched it when I was younger, and it was pretty violent for a children film.

I've seen it, scared the hell out of me. Haven't watched it since. The black rabbits are freaky.

Watership down scared the lights out of me. x___x The animation itself was creepy.

It was a good adaptation of the great novel. I liked the animation which showed the brutality in the way it was depicted in the novel. The voice actors did a good job, and I enjoyed listening to the score which had some very beautiful themes. :)

I saw that film and loved it. It's not a kid's film, though. It was even marketed in such a way to try to scare the kiddies away.

It followed the book pretty good as well. There were some minor changes in the movie, but the basic story and character personalities were the same.

!!

Yes, I've seen Watership Down :D One of the scariest cartoons I've seen so far, and so much better than the series.

Somehow I always enjoyed the novel Animals of Farthing Wood more than the Watership Down novel. =o Same goes for the TV-series.

Is it some brutal novel from the rabbits point of view with a strong animal rights theme? Sounds good eitherway. I always thought it was a saturday morning kiddys show with talking animals having tea and biscuits etc. Finding out about this is kinda humourous, in a twisted sortve way.

I guess the dvd version has long been out of print. If you want a non former rental, expect to pay a minimum of $40 plus S&H.
