I'm not much of a gamer, but being a huge Jurassic Park fan, I bought Operation Genesis, and I just finished the tutorials. I didn't understand half of it, and I'm going through it once again just to make sure that I really get it.

I've never played an RTS game before, and I cannot believe how much effort and patience it takes just to keep playing. There are so many things to keep track of, and it can be pretty overwhelming at times.

What do you think about RTS games, and which one is your favorite?

Wow. I never heard of this game until now. I, myslef, am a big JP fan as well.
Seems like it plays similar to those other Sim City games based on theme parks...but better.

I might need to play this sometime in the fututre.

I am quite a fan of RTS's. I enjoy strategy games, and are a great break from the usual RPG/Adventure games I tend to play.

Here are some of the ones I enjoyed:

Age of Empires series
Command and Conquer series
War Craft 3
Medieval Total War

I also enjoy Risk II, however it's a turn based, not a real time strategy based game.

my absolute fav of all time is age of empires II. prolly the best rts of all time as well. O_o

i also played the entire command and conquer series. (cept generals..i was gonna start it). and i've always played the entire warcraft and starcraft series. all are awesome. and i love them all.

i recently baught rise of nations cause it was on sale at gamestop. havne't had a chance to play it yet.

the strategy games i kinda hate and suck at are the non rts ones. i tihnk they're turn based. and... they're jsut wierd. i think civilization is one of them i'm not sure. i also don't like mob rule or any rts where you can't really control the little dudes only the buildings and economic parts. kinda like sim city. i hate those kinds.

but anyway. yah. rts' rock.

I prefer turn-based myself. I always like to analyze the crap out of things before making decisions.
