Couldn't see a Muse topic so I thought I'd make one. Got my tickets for the Wembley gig today, only a few weeks to go, its on the 17th of June. Not only that but MCR and Biffy Clyro are supporting them, personally I'm put off by MCR but I'm there to see Muse. Should be an excellent day anyway.

Just thought I'd ask what your thoughts were on Muse, Biffy Clyro and (dare I say it?) My Chemical Romance?

Muse are excellent.

I saw them with My Chem. My Chem was better, but that's obvious, coming from me, I suppose. I think it's time I finally confirm that MCR have passed the Ataris as my favorite band.

If you see a girl coming after me with an ax, just ignore her, I probably deserve it :p

Never listened to the Muse...but MCR...yea...I love them.

Its just Muse and they are excellent. I'm sure you'd recognise some of their songs if you heard them. Tried getting tickets for saturday but they sold out straight away, got the sunday ones instead. And now the sunday gig's got the best supporting bands! So glad I don't have to sit through the Streets.

What other gigs have you guys been to? I went to see Foo Fighters this time last year, fucking amazing. Pouring with rain though.

Muse is incredible, and MCR's Black Parade is terrible, although Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge is actually quite decent. Black Parade sounds so uninspired to me.

Black Parade is inspired beyond words. Easily their best album. But, for some reason I have to stick with ...Bullets as my personal favorite.

My favorite shows have easily been Less Than Jake, Green Day, and the 3 times I've seen MCR. Saw them in 05 with GD, and twice within the past year. Say Anything opened for them at my favorite club and it was oooooh yeah ;)

Biffy Clyro are pretty gd, I can only remember hearing living is a problem and saturday superhouse, both on their new album. I'll get Infinity before sunday. I'm just constantly listening to muse at the moment, in preparation.

A bit of Time Is Running Out, Hysteria, Plug In Baby, Stockholm Syndrome, Supermassive Black Hole and Assassin will do me. I still need to own all their albums though.

Can't wait till Sunday, I'm gonna have to buy a bigger micro sd card for my phone just so I can fit all the pics and videos on it.

My thoughts:

1) Love the amount of keyboard that is present in the songs.
2) Love the idea that Chopin's Nocturne is on the song: United State of Eurasia/Collateral Damage.
3) Love the 3 Part Exogenesis Symphony with pure musical talent.
4) Love the entire Album.

Also, my ratings for the albums are as follows (in order of awesomeness):
Absolution, The Resistance, Showbiz, Black Holes and Revelations, Origin of Symmetry

I'd probably rank it third after Origin Of Symmetry and Absolution respectively. Love MK Ultra onwards, I just think the first half is pretty weak, Undisclosed Desires being the only song that really stands out. Really didn't think I'd like I Belong To You based on the 30 second preview but it's probably my favourite song on the album.

the first Muse I heard was Hysteria. Then I got their discography and I must say that the first album was the richest for me.
I haven't heard the last one though.

I've never been a fan of MCR *I have had a hard time listening to a lot of music my younger "blatantly apathetic and stoic for attention" brother listens to*, but Muse on the other end, I enjoy them quite a bit. I've got 'Black Holes' and 'Origin of Symmetry'. I take it their newest venture is pretty good as well?

New album is in March, I just finally checked on that.

The Crow is the best ever.
