Kefka. He actually did get around to really messing up the world as well as separating all the characters. Plus he had an effin' cult.

sephiroth or kefka .....

kefka is a little bit of a harder boss

sephiroth is a insane mosnter who found his way back to life once

kefka is a insane clown

sephiroth is a insane kid with mother issues with to much power on his hand

kefka come relay clsoe in his goels

sephiroth cameclose to killing the world realy close

its relay saldy a hea dor tails there final forms kefka is a little bit mroe stable becuase sephiroths was kileld by a easy limit brake but then sephiroth has foudn ways abck form the dead so its all a toss up

death x ... i like that option to a point see death x may be a uber boss but if you do the game knowing about him you can basicly kill himw ith a level 1-3 charater

realy it just coems down to a fan boy and girl war of the big bad bosses

btw ...

they both have a colt fallowing to a point

There would be no battle...

We all know that deep underneath the tough exterior, Sephiroth is full of pent-up sexual frustration; just unable to express his true feelings for Cloud;

And...just how do you explain the makeup and the way kefka dresses himself?Enough said.

After meeting each other for the first time, a cosmological orgy would ensue rendering chaos upon the world in apocalyptic proportions worse than when Asgard was destroyed by ragnaroke...

Fatalis Prime
08-02-2007, 08:41 AM
Kefka's the freaking God of Magic. Sephiroth was Omnislash'd before his apotheosis was complete. Kefka can rearrange continents with his Light of Judgment. Sephiroth can *pretend* to blow up planets with his glorified gravity spell. This... this is absurd. All ending bosses are not created equal. In this case, it isn't even close.

MidgarResident
08-02-2007, 10:20 AM
Ok, on a more serious note, with all foolishness aside:

Kefka doesn't measure up.

Think about it. There are certain elements that give these characters their awesome powers in both games. The only thing that provided kefka with his omnipotent powers in the post-apocalyptic world is the three goddess statues. In FF VII, Sephiroth aquired most of his powers via the Jenova Reunion and by draining energy from the lifestream; despite being goddamn powerful in the first place. So if one were to swap these two characters, for instance, have Sephiroth reclaim the powers of the goddess statues and have kefka become one with the lifestream, then it just become a matter of whats really more powerful, the statues or the lifestream. That's not what we're trying to figure out; obviously, we're trying to determine which character is the most powerful and most likely to be the victor in battle. The only logical way to do this, is too eliminate both the lifestream post-jenova reunion and statue factors.

Ok. Without the power of the statues, Kefka is but the right hand man to Emperor Geshtaul; with the above average ability to produce magic. This is because he has been infused with the power of magicite much like Celles. Other than that, he is like most of the magic infused cretins of vector, on top of his clever acts of disception and mischeif, I'll give him that.

Ok. Sephiroth is genetically engineered as "the perfect soldier", utilizing jenovas cells. He is one (excuse me, the top) of the elite members of SOLDIER. His power and strength has been recognized by most people and even commented by Cloud as being "unreal". He is able to use materia and produce magic like kefka, which during the flashback sequence, he can use QUITE WELL. Despite attempts at his life (the first being inside the reactor in nibelheim), he resurrected himself, even more powerful than before. Even after the end of the game, he clings onto life through jenova's cells in Advent Children (and even after the cool omnislash, he clams that he cannot be killed). Oh, he decides to impale and leave an oversized Midgar Zolom as a decoration for those entering the mithril mines. Hes been known to appear and disappear whenever he pleases at the most inconvenient of times, which means he can teleport...I belief it was mentioned somewhere in this thread, that kefka had his own posse; Well, consider all the black cloaked tattoed guinea pigs and all the test subjects infused with jenova's cells Sephiroth's posse, if not, part of Sephiroth himself already. Im not going to include the three dudes from Advant Children, because that be just too unfair.

I'm sure Kefka who's just SLIGHTLY at a dissadvantage in terms of shear power can probably cook up something clevor; like poisoning sephiroth's drinking water! I suppose that would work against someone who ever-so calmly strolls through piercing flames. So how can Kefka stack up to a monster who's genetically engineered to "destroy", and has a nasty habit of resurrecting himself as he pleases? The answer is simple. He just doesn't.

Man, I never look at threads like this, but I just knew there was going to be a total fancunt post here. And look, I was right.

I love the way this moron says, "Let's take away all the stuff they use and look at their own power" then talks about how well Sephiroth uses materia.

MidgarResident
08-02-2007, 02:44 PM
Well, if your going to post a thread about a battle between two characters wouldnt it be best to point out the reasons why one has the advantage over another? Instead of just belligerently yelling out unsupported half-witted opinions? So what if i took the question seriously and decided to use the region of my brain that you seemingly so long ago abandoned. Someone posted a question, and i gave my opinion. You don't like it, why don't you go toss your own shit along with the other monkeys in the zoo? On another note, since you have the gift of predicting "fancunt" posts why didn't you just avoid looking at my post all together?

Oh, and Kefka used magicite even before the statues, the same way Sephiroth used materia before the reunion (I believe, that would probably leave them with pretty much the same advantage,). Although, when you start talking about crazy statues with god-like powers and a black materia that has the power to direct an asteriod towards the earth, then your talking about a whole different issue. Look at it this way, if you gave a guy a grenade launcher and another guy a gattling gun, and ask who will win, does it really matter? At this point, it's just all about the weapons and not the characters.

I would go on to explain it further, but your probably going to respond something along the lines of "this moron this, this moron that, hahaha I have to make a doody". Well maybe I do, but you still haven't given your legitimate reasons why. But judging from your idiotic post, maybe its better you shouldn't.

Prak
08-02-2007, 03:05 PM
My, you certainly take yourself seriously, don't you? It's amusingly pathetic. The simple fact of the matter - and this is a further insult to you, perhaps the most egregious one possible - is that you just don't interest me enough to argue with you seriously.

The sad thing is that I respect the way you present yourself (although the content of said presentation is dire), and could possibly grow to like you.

MidgarResident
08-02-2007, 03:30 PM
I suppose people that respond to posts that are intentionally designed to provoke fellow members is considered "taking themselves seriously". I suppose it's pathetic in of itself but not as much so as the shallow insult targeted against such a person. I suppose whats even more pathetic is that you actually have to point out the fact that one of your insults is the most egregious, just to make up for the lack of egregious insult in the first place.

"Lack of content of said presentation is dire". So, where's your content? Ah thats right, I don't interest you. Which probably means that you have no argument, or simply dont care, which makes one wonder, why your in this particular thread in the first place? But it is your right to post even though your posts may be saddistic or irrelevant in nature.

Until then I'll be waiting for those "un-human debating skills".

The Anti-Existence
08-10-2007, 11:59 PM
So, you say we shouldn't use each character at their most powerful/

How about we go by showings and feats?

Sephiroth: Canonical strongest showing was in Advent Children.

Kefka: Re-arranged the face of the planet and could vaporize towns on a whim with the Light of Judgment.

That's fact.

It's also fact Sephiroth loses.

MidgarResident
08-12-2007, 08:21 PM
To answer your question, no we shouldn't because the ultimate powers that these characters attained were from extraneous sources. If we swapped these powers, would it really matter who wins? Because it's just a matter of statues and jenova reunion...

But whatever, i get the impression that no one cares for such subtleties. So really, who would win at their pinnacle of power and strength, regardless of statues and other bullshit? The truth is I really don't know...

Although, it must be nice knowing the facts regardless of whether such a battle took place or not. I'll be sure to consult you when I need the facts for the next upcoming boxing match.
