I`ve downloaded GBDS - Final Fantasy XII - Revenant Wings and tried to play it with the "DESmuME 0[1].6.0-win" Emulator. The Introduction Video plays at a miserable frame rate and when I click Play Game it freezes as a black screen.

Can It be that my computer is too old (CPU:AMD 1700 GFX: GF2) or is the emulator which can nothandle the Game. After all the Emulator is just 740KB in size and the Version Nr. is 0[1].6.0. And FF XII - RW is quite a big Game (130MB)...

Does s.o else also has this problem or does it run well with a more powerfull PC?

I know that my computer is outaged and cannot even handle FF X (Though I got FF X-2 to play 30 sec...)

You could try actually buying the games. They're guaranteed to work when you do that.

Well the Problem is I dont have an DS. And I don`t want to buy a DS just for this Game. I have just an old Super Nintendo and a PS1 so I could only play FF I-IX. To play FF X and X-2 I borrowed the PS2 games but chouldn`t play em because I have no Class 8 GFX card and no FX-CPU... the only Rom game which runns and which I currently play is FFTA for GBA...

Do you expect sympathy? When you pay for the games, you have a right to complain.

I didn`t expect any sympathy. I just wanted to know if there is s.o who has the same problem like me. I know that buying the hardware is cheper for playing FF-X because the nessecary PC-Hardware to play it properly would cost over a thousend bucks...

When you pay for the games
Well all games I have bought were games which I payed several times and were worth it like FF VII. But in the case of FF XII I wanted to play a bit via emulator to see if it is worth that much...

Oh and till now noone gave me a proper answer to my original question

I'm just going to close this thread, because, yeah, not technically supposed to do emulation, and no help seems to be forthcoming...
