I just listened to it, and as a HUGE fan of Sakimoto's music, I can easily say that it's definitely one of his BEST works. Just A-W-E-S-O-M-E

This is pretty good, a bit more dramatice/emotional than FF XII. Though overall still sounds quite similar to the style of FF XII. I really miss the epic Vagrant Story/Radiant Silvergun/FF Tactics style of Sakimoto... Some of his best recent work is on Kuusen 2, which is available in the main site.

You can hear some Vagrant Story, especially in the ambient and percussive parts of the songs. Just Listen to the very first track (DISC000a).

My favorite Sakimoto work is Breath of Fire V, but anything new from him is always great to hear!

Though I didn't enjoy FFXII that much. Too much fanfare.

Hitoshi Sakimoto composed for Odin Sphere?! I have to check out this game then. Here are the top rpg's this spring season chronologically

World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade(If I had internet at my house I might try this)
Rogue Galaxy(I own and play this)
Final Fantasy VI(This is my favorite game by far, I beat it again March 2006)
The Elder Scrolls IV: The Shivering Isles(I need to upgrade my pc and try this)
Super Paper Mario(This might be ok, don't have a Wii though)
Pokemon Diamond & Pearl(This is for too young an audience for me)
Odin Sphere(This seems interesting)

By the way, here is last falls top ones chronolically

Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
Xenosaga 3
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria
Tales of the Abyss
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy III
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess(Wii)
The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess(Gamecube)
*I didn't list handheld top rpg's

Indeed I've been looking all over for this since I started playing the game. VanillaSofts artwork, attention to detail, and animation is spectacular. Then they drop the impressive anvil on our heads by backing up their visuals with this great soundtrack. Thank you for the upload, this is a must have for any collector.

It's actually very possible he didn't know the main site (well it's not the main site actually...) existed. I came here through Galbadia Hotel, but what if you came here through ffshrine and never looked around? Also, I see only Kuusen 1 there.

Anyway, thanks for the upload. I love Hitoshi Sakimoto's work. He's really doing A LOT of OSTs this year.

Don't know of any other gamerips except this one, but the actual 2 disc soundtrack is being released on the 24th of October --> http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=VGCD-120

I daresay you can expect a HQ rip of that around that time from #gamemp3s or some other ripping community~

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=VGCD-120 <- according to that site, the songs have no names?

That's a terrible thing to do to music. Someone please tell me these songs have titles.

Actually, the reason the track numbers are blank is because the actual titles are in Japanese, which for some reason they don't show on the English site. If you check the same listing on their Japanese counterpart site, Neowing, [http://www.neowing.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=VGCD-120], you'll see the complete tracklisting~~

I can give you the rip if you want, but are you sure you don't want the album version? There's not really any reason to prefer the rip since it has sound effects in a lot of tracks.
