the thing that i dont get about DBZ is how each season a new " more powerful enemy" appears. I mean dont the think that they have leveled up enough? It seems that once an enemy is defeated he is weak and like a 1000 power levels behind. Like Frieza, after he died the gang got like a million times stronger ect. But why isn't there just like one super-duper strong enemy that kicks all their asses. And my question is Why do you think DBZ characters blow power-levels as fast as a drug addict pops pills?

Good point, what I'm wondering is, why do they always come in order? Like the first person they fight is at 1000 level or whatever, then the next would be at 2000 then 10000 and on and on. Wouldnt one come alon that is realy low when they are realy high? or somone comes along that is to strong to beat.

I dunno, I guess that wouldnt be all that fun.

I reckon there would eventually be one. I remember watching the Brolli DBZ movie whatever it was called. He was the strongest Super Saiyan ever or something. HE was also nuts, some fella had to keep him undr control with a bracelet, I do not know coz I never d/led it all coz it was subtitled and it pissed me off so I never saw how it ended. Also they fight guys like Buu, we are only up to where he hatches here in Australia and in GT they fight Jenemba, he looks bad ass I must say.
So maybe they do have some strong guys but when they meet them like Cell, someone goes a new SS, like Gohan going SS2 and eventually someone like Goku will go SS4 when it counts and beat the living piss out of anyone no matter how strong they are.

Yes Majin Buu was very strong but Goku had the stronger attack ( Genki Dama). Buu Did kick every one's butt

Well Li Shenron DOES kick their asses. Even SSJ4 Goku is no match for him. The world was destroyed and the only way to beat that guy was to fuse properly with Vegeta. So Gogeta kicked ass.

I always thought that saiya-jins produced nuclear-powered steroids as some type of hormone when they got pissed off.

And as for the answer to your question... It's dragon ball z! What do you expect? It's a predictable anime that makes no sense. Whoever made dragon ball is too shallow to think of a decent plot line so he just make the saiyans fight all these villains. The story in dbz is simple. Meet new villain, get stronger, kill villain, repeat. *shakes head* And some people still say it's unpredictable...

The simple answer is longevity. After all, if they met the most powerful enemy at the START, and got KILLED, the makers couldn't keep making endless series, and thus leeching more money out of a reall,y really bad anime, now, could they?

It just like a Final Fantasy. Your characters in FF always meet enemys that are just at theh level they are. It wouldn't be a good anime if the characters got killed by some pumped up macho villan. I'm sorry but Sailor Moon is way more predictable than DBZ. That has to be one of the lamest animes ever!

It would sort of Ruin the plot if really strong enemy came and killed them all wouldn't it?

Actually sometimes they do appear out of order like when they had jus beaten cell and gohan had all those really really weak enemies to fight but then Buu came and whipped everyone

Yea well the characters and enemys get stronger to keep the show going. If there was an enemy that beat them all, then the show would end, and that can't heppen.

I guess you have a point. But I think that no matter how powerful the enemies are, the characters still display a good show.

Yup, the old time paradox effect where 5 min. can take like 5 episodes (like in the frieza series, god it took forever for Nameck to blow up!)

I have often wondered about the going in order thing but ya know I don't really care because it's so fun to watch. Broly never really dies. First he is "crushed" by a meteor. He comes back and is sent into the sun. If Cooler could survive that, Broly would have no problem.

Sayajin physiology dictates that when they get their asses kicked their fighting potential goes up. Also, Goku never takes a fight seriously till he has to. He loves to fight and thats why he always plays around with the enemy till he gets beaten down.

That is an interesting philosphoy that I haven't really heard I just thought that Goku was playing with them because he was having ta good tie kicking ther asses into H.F.I.L

It's just a damn cartoon, and yes if Goku can dodge a couple of plasma blasts that go as fast as light, I'm sure he can dodge a piece of lead. He has instant transmition. He can probably use his mind to disarm the person anyway.

even if goku didn't dogde the bullet it wouldn,t do him any harm......i mean radditz cought a a bullet so did android dr.gero......if they can and there power lv. is pretty much lv.zero compared to goku im sure a bullet wouldn't harm him...it's too bad that dragon ball had to finish....they should'v made a brolly saga that would have rocked...

WRONG. The alien genes give them stronger bodies and higher potential. Thats why the humans are pussies and the Sayajins are strong. The mixed blood of the children makes it easier for them to grow stronger.

Well i haven't seen how powerful he is in his second movie but in the first one he truthfully wasn't all that powerful over all. Goku didn't know ssj2 yet, if he did then he could have easily beaten Brolly.

no Akira Toryama is a cool guy otherwise there would never e a DBZ in the first place. And yeah the humans can never compare with the Saiyans because the saiyans have the feature that makes them stronger after a near death experience and they have been around for much longer therefor having more time to train. Sure they may have been as strong as Goku at the beginning but Saiyans can progress faster than humans can.
