Hi guys, I'm only new to this site.. But I've been playing a lot of Final Fantasy X lately and I was just getting up to the end when I thought I would do a run throguh again of Gagazet Mountains. When it came to me getting to the Caves again I went through it all again, and came to the spinning thing where Wakka has to hit the centre, and just thought that out of a bit of skills testing, I'd try and do it again. I hit it perfect on the first go and this little scene comes up showing Anima .. And so I go back to the start of Mount Gagazet where the Rhonso scenes were and there is Anima waiting for me to fight him!!

Now I've never seen this written about in any walkthrough... So I was just wondering if anyone else has ever come across this?? I'm no where near able to beat him so I don't know what happens if you do.. But I just thought I'd share and see if anyone else has discovered this as well...

Ok, that is what is known as a dark aeon, dark anima in fact. They are only in the international version, there are dark versions of all the dark aeons, its just an extra challenge put into the game. Also, if you defeat all of them, there's something else you have to do... I wont spoil it for you, just to let you know that you should try and defeat all of them if you can. They're extremely hard, but they can drop weapons with breakdamagelimit and ribbon armours. And dark matter sometimes too.

Every time I hear things like this, I feel all the worse for getting the US version. Just how much was left out?

Um, as far as I know, the only things the US version doesn't have are the eight dark aeons (10 if you count the magus sisters as 3) and then the penance final boss. It's worth chipping your ps2 and getting an international copy just for those though.

Just those? I thought some weapon abilities were missing, like Distill Mana (etc.) and Ribbon. I also heard that Bribing was nerfed, and some glitches were fixed (though I can't remember what those were).

International has distil mana/ability/etc abilities.Ribbon is here too. Its actually easier to get thanks to dark yojimbo. We've got bribing, and it seems to work, although the amount to bribe may be different.
