What do you think the FF13 villian should be like?

A psychotic badass with a soft side for animals.
A power hungary madman who can read minds.
Maybe a duel pistol wielding, suicidal, female vixen with a katana who kills her own soldiers if they fail her and will stop at nothing to destroy the world.

Elaborate folks. Make up anything you want. I haven't heard much about the characteristics of the villain for 13 so why not take some creative guesses.

I just hope the villain has some qualities that I can 'love to hate'. I need a villain that is truly evil. I don't want another Vayne Solidor, who while certainly does a few things that are disreputable, he does most of them because he believes it is best for the people and the kingdom. Is that someone I can hate and feel good about murdering and saving the world/country from? Not really.

Now, saving the world from a monster who mindlessly goes about wiping out cities (FFX), or a sorceress who intends to compress time and the world for her own uses (FFVIII), or even a crazed guy who is willing to wipe out much of the planet to increase his own power (FFVII)... those are the kind of villains that I like!

Let's try a villain with some of the following qualities:
-Utter confidence. He must have very little self doubt if we are to fear him. It should at first appear that everything is going as part of his plans even when it seems otherwise. An element of lunacy wouldn't hurt.
-Had his parents or relatives lobotomized to serve as his slaves
-"Reprograms" people's minds with his own designs in order to use them as pawns and for subterfuge. A key element in the game should be the distrust of people around you - you never know if hidden instructions have been planted in them until a given time.
-Willing to kill/sacrifice children & families at a whim for his own gains
-Keeps a few "pet" servants which he dotes on and pretends to care for, who are to be used for spare body parts if he needs them
-Possibly has an animal that he appears to love with all his heart - a disgusting creature with a sliver of intelligence that most people would be repulsed from - he talks to it, pets it, and consults it on how certain vagrants (such as a servant who did not bring his supper on time) should die. Perhaps feeds entrails to it also.

I think a villain should be pure evil. No mercy, just completely ruthless. And...maybe somehow demented, like blind in one eye or something. For me, an evil person fights with a ball-point pen. The ultimate weapon...

How about this: A katana wielding magus/lich that totally mastered all black and arcane magick, but can repell white and green magick. He uses zombie slaves and wants to infest the universe with darkness. Really, he is controlled by a female Devout magus, turned evil that wants to use him to do her dirty-work.

Srry 4 Double Posting, but... I have another Idea! How about a cult of strange, dark but devout ppl. They think the only way to clense the Universe is to bathe it in the void! The cult Should be leaded by Three Elemental Phycopaths! I planed the names too! Firatous: The Lava Gunner. Ultimaga: The Storm Magus. And Dies Iratous: The Cold Eviscerator.

Hmmm... How about a band of ArchAngels. One of them turns evil, and tries to call up the Ultimate evil. The ArchAngels try to trap their evil friend by engulfing it in the Souless divide, which tries to swallow the planet. Without any hope, The Dark ArchAngel is gripped in a final battle with the ArchAngel Te'rraferency, which they learn the Prophecy, in which both ArchAngels will be locked in a battle which will last for 20 years. The victor will decide the fate of the planet. Is it a good idea? COMMENT!
