Final Fantasy XIII is on the PS3... :(

I'm poor and unemployed and in a mountain of debt AND stuck with just my PS2 (one of the old ones too)...

If like 400 of you guys wanna send me a dollar, you could make my final fantasy come true!

hehe, i was just playing anyway. I'm only unemployed cause i just moved and i'm looking for one here. I'm sure i'll have a ps3 by the time it's released here. (i am waiting for the price to drop on the ps3 too)

That's business for you. Change is needed, otherwise we'd still be watching VHS tapes and you'd be reading this post on a computer screen shaped like a cube.

Developing the game for the PS3 gives Square-Enix a lot more oppertunities to try out new techniques.

And it wont be out in Europe for even longer.....*sobs*

Let's pray that FFXIII doesn't become the next Duke Nukem Forever now.

rumer has it form soem big sites it will be on the 360 as well i dont know if a ps3 is worth its price tag .. i think if it is a ps3 only i will be playing it at my friend jd`s hosue sicne he ahs a ps3 and i dont think its worth the 600 bucks yet ..

Since FFXIII is the only reason I would want a PS3, I'm not about to spend that much for one. FFXII disappointed me, so I'm not betting on this one being leagues better just yet.

Besides, Assassin's Creed will be available for the PC as well. ^^

ff13 looks like a halo wannabe to me atm and a episode of star trek... and y oh y do they allways insist on adding guns... yeah cus we all love guns dont we?... im sorry but if i wanted a gun related game id play on a fps... come on this is fantasy not a sci fi -_-

fantasy = monster + magic + swords
sci fi = gun, laser guns, space ships and other space related crap

now i bet most of u are gonna go oh but it will have monsters and magic like the rest and maybe so... but at the end of the day the space thing takes the whole fun away and the fantasy feel...

if this one company wins a case agenst sony then there wont be any ps3s so yea it seems ff13 will need a new system after all

You cheap people-_- I don't want to say anything about the Wii except that its a console more for groups and the PS is more for alone since most games are rpgs...if anyone understands this. They had guns in FF6. Based on the popularity, I would have to agree 7 is one of the greatest games in history. FF6, Tactics and 12 are still my favorite, though.

Everyone thinking it costs too much is only part of it. At the moment there are only a hand full of games in the retail stores that don't make $600 worth the purchase to them. As of last month, now $500 plus 5 free Blu-ray movies thats a total worth around $150.

Again, back to my last point - They're not all cheap, it's not of any value to most people around here. I myself, however, am known as the local FFShrine resident 60GB PS3 owner/supporter "fanboy" who has enjoyed every moment with it since Jan 12th. So at least you now know of 1 person around here whom you can discuss PS3 games with. Also consider how many people around here have Pokemon avatars which explains the unconditional love for Nintendo. There's nothing wrong with that at all, that's just something they're into just like any fan of something.

I've been a Sony and Nintendo supporter since the beginning of both the PS1 and NES. Not so much for Microsoft. But I'm not about to bash Microsoft, I just don't have any interests in there games and there reputation of the "Red ring of death" only pushes me away even more. I've read too many "I'm on my 4th 360 because my last 3 crapped out on me" threads in the X-Box 360 forums to draw me to that conclusion. If you're going to be a 100% Sony supporter, that I respect that. But don't sell yourself short by preaching they have the greatest systems in the world because around here it's all a matter of opinion and you will lose.

the old ps2s are still butt kickers and im also in need of upgrading my ps but i can wait im just sad i can't get it before the release of the next Dragon ball Z game

I'm sorry that you have no money to get a PS3 and FFXIII. Maybe by the time it comes out you will have some money available to get one. Or, you could be lucky, and someone who knows you could give it to you as a present. If you are a good person, good things will come to you in time. I'm always positive, so I hope the best for you. I hope you can enjoy FFXIII like everyone else one day. :)
