Okay everyone Im right now downloading the 360 image right now and hopefully it will use the EA format MUS because for me thats very easy to convert.

But since i haven;t played the game yet, i don't know what to name the tracks. So hopefully when i post the rip someone can hear it and help me put up a track list and whatnot?

I converted it to MP3.

But for some reason there are multiple tracks in each of the 7 zone tracks. So the timeline for each track totals up to 40 minutes. i would split them but i have no knowledge of where eatch track ends.

I will still upload them and let you guys post some info about them so i can do a rerip or something.

Upload the wavs so we can dabble ourselves.

Please do, OrangeC. I know some tracks change ingame because of the action going on. The first stage on single-player, for example, has a somewhat calm and soft drum & bass, then when there are enemies in the area, changes to more action-y music. Finally, when getting to a certain objective (towards the end of the stage), changes once again to another action-y track.

This goes for the online portion as well, so I wouldn't doubt the tracks are all streamed together.

Yeah there is one MUS file in each zone level with streaming tracks inside.. Im currently uploading the MP3's to megaupload. because the whole soundtrack uncompressed in wav form totals up to 2GB's.

Hey OrangeC, could you do some more searching in BF2 folders, none of these tracks you've uploaded contain music from the multiplayer mode, which is much better than the SP stuff.

Maybe the music comes directly from EA's servers?

This really sucks, because I too was hoping for the multiplayer music. But the single player stuff will tide me over for now.

All 3 versions (PS2, XBox, 360) have the same music, I've played them all (I know, I'm insane :P).

I looked in the MP folders and none contain music.

I don't remember too well but I thought the single player and multiplayer music for modern combat was the same stuff?

I don't know what the tracks are but listening to it I can hear spots that are most likely where one track should end and another should begin. Is anyone working on this or should I jump on it or what?

I looked in the multiplayer earea and found a file called: AllMusicTracks_xenon.xwb

I scanned it and found no MUS files or any files for that matter. its only 50MB so i have no idea.

No the multiplayer music contains some of the songs used in the early trailers for BF2 for PC and also the intro for Special Forces.

Hmm oh well.

So anybody successfully split the tracks up yet? or should i post it in the download links as its unorganzied form?

It doesn't really matter, all I wanted was the multiplayer music, I have the ripped music from a different source already, but since you had the image file I thought you could get the mp music out too.

i have almost finished splitting each of the zone tracks up and only have Zone3B and Zone4 left. As for the tagging it will go like this:

Zone1A000
Zone1A001
Zone1A002

ect.

Same with the other zones.

Pretty weird, but its the best i can do. But i will also add the composer and album tags.

Hey guys, I think I found the multi-player music that some of you are looking for, but I'm not 100% sure if it is cuz I haven't played multi-player yet. But I haven't heard these tunes in single player.

In fact I wanted to ask you some information concerning the .mus file format. In fact I just grabbed the Skate. .mus and .mpf files from the 360 version of the game, but didn't succeed in extracting the .mus files nor converting them...

Would you be nice enough to give me a hand, or point me to a link with tutorials and/or utilities dedicated to this kind of process?
