I had almost killed Seymore Flux on top of Mt. Gagazet and then BOOM! Total Annahilation. I was so mad and the strategy guides didn't help much. Anybody got any ideas?

Train. Train long and hard, most people die when they get to that boss. I did the first time through. Keep training and you'll soon be strong enough. Or, go back into gagazet, and bring your aeons out so that they all have their max overdrive. Then when you fight seymour, bring each one out and use the overdrive straight away as you'll only get 1 hit in with your aeons. It's advised that you have haste on all your chars before you do this though as after the overdrive I think you give seymour 2 free turns, so you want to be fast or strong enough to survive that.

Screw training. Go in with everyone with their overdrives, including the summons. If that doesnt work ill eat my hat.

Holy Waters and Protect are good right now.

Bio's also fun to use, too.

Shouldnt this be in the FFX section? *HINT*

What the above post says. And IIRC, Shell, not Protect, reduced the damage from Total Annihilation. You can avoid it entirely if you work his HP down with normal attacks/magic, and use ODs to finish him quickly. He only uses it when he's at critical health.

I was referring to the Cross.

Though you could reserve all your aeons at the end to pummel him with overdrives though...

Here is my piece of advice.

1) You can get Yojimbo and kill him of. I think you dont have enough money though.

2)Use Haste or Hastega. This will give you a lot more turns to attack. As Desert Wolf said, take everyone with overdrives, including the Aeons. Dont forget that Seymour can kill the Aeons with 1 attack, so you will only use the for overdrives. Yuna MUST have haste.
Before reacihng the top of the mountain, you should have probably met a guy who sells goods. He sells some weapons that can avoid the Zombie attack of Semymour, if you have enough gil try to get a couple of them.
Remember, this is a countdown race. Try to use your overdrives and your aeons when he is below 60 000. Use Bahamut for the final attack. He can do damage more that 9999, so you have more chances to kill him off.

Good Luck ;)

Train hard as hell, when i got to him i trained for like 3 hours, so auron and some other characters got HP to resist Final Annihilation and Cross Cleaver.

The ultimate tip:

Use Bio. It did about 3000-4000 damage with each passing turn for me.
A great addition to dominating that fight.

seymour flux is piss easy to kill
u just need tidus and auron with about 4500hp and yuna with cura or curaga then just caste hastaga and just attack constatly with auron and tidus and heal them with yuna. just make sure theve got full life when it uses total annahilation. i killed him first time easy

yet another good thread ruined by DE GRANDE FREAK

Just have all of your aeons with their overdrives full. Have Bahamut go first and so on and so forth.if you're lucky, you can get through the battle scratch-free.

I think that the funny thing here is that the person who started this thread took nine months to beat Seymour Flux. Just look at his two post dates.
He/She could have had a baby in that time...

Harkus

he probably left the game for a while and then went back to it to defeat seymour flux.

I killed Flux in about 2 minutes without using overdrives. Just poison, silence and use Mix (Rikku's overdrive) and you'll win.
I used Bomb Core+Dream Powder combination. It casts Abaddon Flame - the highest lever of fire damage.
(sorry for my English, I'm from Russia)

good luck.

Ionic Warrior what is wrong with murawjeds post? Your strategy while effective isn't sure-fire as you say it is. murawjed was just adding his ideas and an alternative way of beating seymour flux. Welcome to the shrine.

Im not getting at anyone personally. But the thread is fairly old. It was revived already. And that was just the OP telling people he had beaten it.

The OP has also been answered repeatedly, and hasn't been back on since they revived it.

Agent0042

Cookie is right. Any thread that hasn't been responded to in over a month and then somebody revives it to answer a question that has already been answered thoroughly and is a long-dead horse is a good candidate for closure. Such as this one, which is now being closed, because I really don't see it going anywhere.

Oh, and...

I killed Flux in about 2 minutes without using overdrives. Just poison, silence and use Mix (Rikku's overdrive) and you'll win.
Is there not a massive contradiction in here?
