Earlier I read something on Kotaku about SC2 coming out, then yesterday I read about a SC MMO. These are both rumors, naturally. I still remember feeling a bit ripped off when they postponed SCGhost and then put it on hiatus two years later.

Is anyone else hoping Blizzard will finally pull off something new after virtually no new news after WoW addicts came into existence?

Here's a link http://kotaku.com/gaming/nooooooooooo%21/starcraft-mmo-coming-say-sources-257902.php

If you ask me, the possibility of a WoS is fairly high considering WoW's success. Although there's also a high chance there won't be one because it'd be a bit more complex then WoW and it'd cost them money to make and host. They'd also lose users from WoW and gain them on WoS, which wouldn't really make much of a difference lol.

I'm really hoping for a Starcraft II though. I really enjoyed starcraft because each race had major gameplay differences. I hope, if they do create a starcraft II, that it doesn't ruin the game.

i know they did great with wow. but something tells me they might not ever be able to top sc or dII. O_o

i guess we expect too much. all i know is it'll prolly be 3d but then what? same old thing? too much new things? i wouldn't mind a dIII though. something that looks just as good, if not, more awesome than titan quest. cause i saw clips of that and it reminded me a lot of DII. :p

Blizzard still hasn't commented on the massive amount of rumours on the so-called leaks. But, all we have to do is wait for the 19th to see if there really is an announcement to be made in Korea.

looks like the rumors were true. I'm hoping they do a port for PC and not just 'return to their consol roots'.

Check out the blizzard homepage "StarCraft II - Hell, It's about time." they also have www.starcraft2.com setup.

nice. i'm glad it wasn't an mmo. i'm gonna pretend this will be nothing special so i don't ruin it with hype.

hype kills. pretend it'll suck. O_o

OMG I WANT THIS! lol

oh, I just remembered that I heard the MMO rumors from a diablo 3 hype website (not a SC website). It makes sense for Blizzard to carry D3 into the mmo realms since I'm sure they probably would have if common computers could handle something that hot back then.

I also agree with Tact on the new SC. For sure.. suck. I mean sure it'll be more... juicy... but... nah, I'm not gonna be looking at this title at all.

Wootage, so SCII is in production, or atleast will be in the near future? I thought so. Woot!

I'm hoping it won't be priced at $60.

Why not $60? I'd prefer if it was priced at that. Normally new games would cost $80-100, so wouldn't $60 be good?

I think the problem with having a world of starcraft is that it would compete with wow. Would blizzard really do that? Would that be a good move? WoW has so many subcribers now. It over 8 million I believe. At this point would WoS be as popular?

Heh, yeah. I realised that half way through writing my post, but decided to post anyway to see if anyone would correct me or not.

Yeah, that's kinda what i was saying. By making a WoS, they'd lose WoW players. In my opinion they'd end up with more people, e.g. Warcraft haters, but starcraft lovers. WoS would just appeal to a slightly different crowd, e.g. South Korea, where they worship starcraft as a god. (Atleast i think it was south korea >_>)

That reminds me of some crazy news from a while back about some poor kid who dies after a couple days after doing nothing but playing SC.

that's why only fat poeple should play as hardcore as he did. we can live off our fat for weeks if not months. he simply wasn't cut out for a 2 week nonstop marathon. poor bugger. ;_;
