Thanks, Roki.

VII and VIII are on PC, as well. And Tactics is on PSone, and soon to be on the PSP. It might already be out in Japan.

I could mention stuff like Ergheiz, and the Chocobo stuff, but I really just stuck with main-lineage.

Needs to be Tactics remake for the PSP. Tactics Advance for GBA needs to be added. The new Tactics title is Tactics Advance 2: The Sealed Grimoire, I think.

Then, there is another XIII title, Haeresis.

I'm not even 10% sure on that, but it's easy to see with this list just how ridiculous this has gotten. XIII in it's many forms [before a single one of them has been released] represents everything I think is wrong with Square Enix today. Sure, it's business savvy, but it's enough to drive even longtime fans over the edge by making them see how ridiculous (and expensive) it is to be a fanboy.

This is why I'm not buying a PS3, XIII or any subsequent Final Fantasy. It took me a while to wise up, but I like to think I did.

If you're including chocobo spinoffs, you can't leave out Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeons I & II.

Re-reading the original post, it could be construed that he only wants main-lineage and would like to know the best way to purchase them. This is of course giving him the benefit of the doubt on what would be the contradiction of wanting them ALL but desiring to know WHAT to purchase.

So, to answer that, I'd say get I-VI on GBA, VII-XII to play on a PS2. Barring emulation, that's probably the cheapest way to get them, and the best versions of the old-schools. This is ignoring the cost and hassle of setting up XI on a PS2.

The movies I speak about are the ones Square released themselves. They're not really very widely known. They simply show a Square staff member playing through the game with no battles, but including cutscenes, etc. and the final hit of boss battles.

You're mistaken. That is not an official product and was not produced by Square. It was created and distributed illegally by a third party.

www.square-enix.com

Their site has a catalog that lists every one of their products. The one you mention is not listed, therefore it is not official.

I was going to add FFX International but Wikipedia says this:

An international version of the game was released in Japan as "Final Fantasy X International" and in PAL territories under its original title.

And seeming as I'm not buying the Japanese versions of anything (can't speak it), I didn't think it was neccesary.

Incidentally, I love your sig Marvin.

I think even though it was released under its original name it should still be note worthy. I also have a list of demo discs that I personally own if you would like.

And thanks for the sig complement. Which part of it are you mostly referring to?

Demo discs? You mean of the actual Final Fantasy games? That would be pretty cool. ^^

I'm referring to the picture in it. xD
