Yeah, they said a while ago that they might do a 2002 remake. I'm not sure if they will use the old arranges for the tracks that were already downgraded for 2002 VS mode, but I hope they will remix all of the tracks.

I am not a fan of KOF 2001 soundtrack. I thought it was horrible and that the good old SNK music days were gone forever with the advent of Playmore. Funnily enough, the next installment (2002) was made by SNK Playmore rather than Playmore and saw reuse of classics themes with forgiveable but totally bland original music. 2003 saw a real improvement and KOF XI was just back on track. So I am going to give this one a try!

I wonder why the AST or the OST doesn't include Original Zero or Igniz battle themes?

Mind you, the original 2K1 track was kinda...(or really, very) bleah, to say the least (except for Team NESTS, Original Zero, and Igniz's theme).

These arranged tracks makes the whole thing sound a lot fresh. Me like.

Zero and Igniz battle themes are here they're track 19 and 20.

Buriki One OST is impossible to find, right?

I'm not sure if it even exists, but one Buriki track was on SNK's Original Best album *that I've lost when my pc crashed*, it apparently was one of Ryo's AoF3 tracks that got remixed. So, I'm guessing that it does exist.

I just hope that a good soul can upload the Buriki OST someday. There were times when I was tempted to buy the HNG64 plus Buriki One just to play the game, but reality gave me a bitch slap.

Well, now that I'm here (I don't feel like making a thread), do you think you can find the new arranged Fatal Fury 1 tracks from Battle Archives Volume 1? Like KoF2001, the arranges were made by the same people that arranged XI (poorly). I've never seen a gamerip of it, you might have connections or something. =0

i don't think there's a AST album for first WH according to Gameronline music archive,this is the only way to him to find these tracks in arranged
kap,for your request i have to ask my friends in shadowhaxor.but i don't think that SNK has made old FF tracks arranged again,cuz all tracks has been arranged by Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugidan years ago and they were all great.i think they use old ASTs in the FF archive,but i will try to find for you(and me of course) :D
The new stuff that came with KoF XI (Koji Takata, Masuo Okumura, Masanori Kuki) has arranged Kof 2001 and Kizuna Encounter as i know.that's all

I watched an arranged playthrough of FF1 and take it from me, they made new arranges. They didn't use the old arranges, because afaik FF1 never had an arranged console release.

You have to believe me on this one. You can even hear the similarities in the instruments.

*I'd love to hear the Kizuna arranges when it's released, though. It had some decent tracks.

Am I the only one here who liked the KOF 2001 OST? Yeah the themes may have been simple and monoural but they were catchy in my eyes, especially the Hero Team theme.
I prefer 01's OST to the 2000 one any day of the week. But of course KOF 99's and 98's OST's were the pinnacle IMO.
Btw didn't Eolith make both KOF 2001 and 2002 not just 2001?

I always prefered the KoF '97 soundtrack, myself.

Well, what little of it was actually MUSIC, anyway, given how the majority of it was "ambiance." :) But even ten years later, nothing rivals the true 'Team Orochi' theme (or whatever it's official name is). How come that game never got 'enhanced backgrounds' back in the day like the Dreamcast release of '99?

On topic, I'd been waiting for them to remix 2001 for ages. Largely for the NESTS team and Boss themes, like much of the rest of the world. And I don't know why the pre-Zero or pre-Igniz cutscene theme sounds like something I'd expect to hear out of their cell phone when they got a call. :)

Btw has anyone ripped the KOF 2001 Intro and Menu themes from the 00/01 double pack they released a few years ago. Both themes were completely new. The intro was particuarly good as it was rock/metal.
