How do you pronounce Tidus's name? I pronounce it as Tee-Dus or Ti-Da (according to Japanese Pronounciation) or Ti-Da-Su.... I know this is a areally dumb question but just wondering

I say tye-dus, because I have a long history of mispronouncing Japanese words. I'm not proud of this and I always make it a point to ask EVERYTIME one comes up, now. Also, because KH has gone out of its way to pronounce it both ways. Now that you've enlightened me, I will say it correctly.

Not Tidus himself, but the voice-actor. The "beyond final fantasy" dvd has his voice actor say it. And the voice actor of his own character is going to be told the pronounciation of his own character's name.

I think that it varies depending on accent and and which country you live in really. The translations all messed up isnt it with names. Lisa translates to Elise From English to French. Just as a example.

I pronounced it tee-dus at first, and so did one of my friends, then I saw a documentary going over all the final fantasies, and then I started saying tie-dus, and my friend thinks I've gone against him. Its Tie-dus, dangit. xD

I believe the pronounciation for "Tidus" should be "tee-du-su" rather than "taidus". Sounds rather confusing, but ya... Then again, it really depends on which version of the game you have. For my version which is the US version, "Tidus" is pronounced as "taidus".
