I don't understand how people can get dragged into games that much. I mean I hear of people playing certaind games like WoW for 8-10 hour periods. I couldn't even do that if I tried.

Believe me, that is a short period to play WoW, I know of alot of people who play it for anything up to an entire day.

It's sad someone can get that obsessed.

Well let us keep in mind that LARP's do exist. (Live Action Role Playing) White Wolf games in particular are famous for their Live action games such as Vampire the Masquerade, Werewolf, and Mage. Unfortunately these games are also where alot of the Stereotypes about larpers being crazy, Emo cultists came from as well.
The fact that this person dressed up like an Elf from Shadowrun though is funny as hell. I would love to see someone dressed up as a Vampire and try the same thing but instead of holding the person by knife-point, attempt to play "rock, paper, scissors" in order to "dominate" the clerk to the vampire's will.

4 years ago I was studying history and one of the students (who was a VERY devoted Vampire LARPer) was dressed every single day like a characters from Anne rice's novels...that means like a 18th century dandy.:eye:

and i've also met this guy who thought the Necronomicon does exist, as well as Cthulhu and the Imperium from Warhammer...

As for me; i'm fine thanks. after 11 years of roleplaying. so it must not be that dangerous, unlike what morons like the republicans and ultra catholics can say...
