Come on, you're setting yourself up for flaming.

Also, the ending was pretty great, but hardly worth committing suicide over. xD

Well the ending was great and sad. I felt sad when I saw it, but then I tuned off the ps2 and I was happy again :). I was more sad when ff ix was over, i can never get enough of that game!

I'll admit, I am glossy-eyed at the end of FFX.

It was sad - but I thought that made it pretty refreshing as didn't quite see it coming.

Yeah, it was sad for me. Probably the saddest ending to a FF, in my opinion. I didn't want it to end. xD Especially since I was already halfway through X-2. =/

Good ending I thought. Definatly good to see a different ending then the 'everyone lives happily ever after.'

Ahh, the ending of X was fantastic. Sure, it was sad but it was something different than a stereotypical "EVERYONE LIVES HAPPILY EVER AFTER YAYZ!!" It gives people something to talk about. The music accompanying it was amazing as well. (of course though all the music was great throughout the game.)

It was emotional, not so much as sad. I mean, after all that, Yuna told Tidus flat out: "I love you". The look on his face after it was said was just heartbreaking. And when she tried to run up and hug him from behind, she walked through him and thwacked upon the ground(which was kinda funny, btw), pure emotional.

In the Jap Version she originally said "Thank You" (arigato) to match with the lip syncing they used I love you instead

Truthfully I get all teary when i see the ending. I've never actually fully cried but my eyes mist up a bit. Though I dunno I suppose I really liked how it ended. It was stronger than if it would've been a happy ending.

The Part where Yuna fell was so..... emotional..... and also Tidus hugging Yuna as well..... Who laughed when she fell if you did you did don't mess with me....

I liked the scene in X where Tidus and Yuna were both under the water. Hey wait... I liked that song too. I wonder where I can find it. Anyway, that was my favorite scene.

But yeah, I got emotional. I didn't get too teary-eyed, but I understood how she felt. It was intense *sigh*

Yah it was the best ending to a game ive ever seen and it was the graphics! i meen if the graphics were pretty crappy it wouldnt have been as sad but it seemed so real, lol it left a huge lump in the back of my throat, best game ever

Yep,it's the most impressed ending so far. I can't help myself at first I finished this game with my wet eyes, lol.
It's breaking your heart when he tried to hug (or pretend to)her.:)

It never made my eyes water or anything but that is the most I've felt for a game. It just had that storyline which grabs you and makes you feel for the characters, which is what's so disappointing about XII.

I think I was mostly just sad that I was left sitting there staring at the tv with nothing else to do. I was sooo upset with the end bosses being so easy that I wasn't ready for the game to end. I wanted it to just be another movie and then more game.

I don't know what made me more sad - ending scene or the fact that it was the end of the game. I don't remember when was the last time I cried, but at the scene where Yuna went through Tidus and fell on the ground... I shed one tear... (Reminded me of something...)

LOL 2 hours? Admittedly, I also got pretty emotional and teary eyed for a while. Shows that it's a great game when it manages to get emotions out of people, I wish more games could make me cry/teary eyed.

I can't lie, I did get a little teary eyed. haha..

I thought it was a great ending to a great game! This girl was happy with the 100+ hours spent. I love Yuna ALMOST as much as Rinoa. :D

I started my emotional phase when I got to Zanarkand and saw that video where they were all sitting arounf the fire, my eyes got teary, thinking about all the story, the game, coming back to the happy/sad moments that i lived alongside with the characters, and realising that I was getting to the end. But when the game finished i cried for a lotta time, and i couldn't get it out of my head for a week, and then i made worser, I mean, I accidently erased the memory file and I was like =-O, but yeah, the end made me I cried for being the end and for the hug, Auron's ''second death'', and in the final, Yuna calling Tidus.

Yeah, the fact that Final Fantasy X could actually make you think back over the game and get emotional in remembrance is really neat. 'tis why I think it's the best Final Fantasy thus far.

I was depressed for like, a week after I beat it. :P

Yeah, and finding a game that can do that, is really hard, in fact, FFX made me a fan due to those stuff, I felt the story the same way as the characters, so I started to get interested in FF because i wanted games who made me happy and sad, games who could make me think. Yeah i got depressed to, with an huge FF hunger. :D

I was also depressed for a week (I won't lie either). But I also thought that the ending was satisfying because it wasn't the whole "Everybody's happy" thing. The ending was more like real life because real life usually doesn't turn out to be that happy ending.

I played the ending the second time after a month, but THAT surely didn't help lol. It was a GREAT ending to FFX.

How Tidus and Yuna were separated for life....but then there's the secret ending to 10-2. Then i was happy. 10-ending=sad-great. 10-2-ending=happy-great. Either way, I'm happy.

I felt a bit depressed after finishing FF8 and FF10. I don't think it's necessarily the endings, but rather that the game is actually over and the story has ended, and it's back to the real world now (grin). It's a testament to how great the games are when they can play on your emotions that much and draw you in.

FF9 and FF12 failed to strike those chords in me.

06-10-2007, 06:06 AM
Here's how it went Yuna saying bye to Aeons, "awww", Auron being sent, "saddening", Tidus fading and Yuna learrning the truth, "more saddening", Tidus and Jecht High-fiving each other, "misty eyed", Yuna's speech, "just started bawling"

FF9 and FF12 failed to strike those chords in me.

VIII ruins me.
IX tore me to pieces.
X made me a little sad.
XII was good but didn't really end on anything particularly worth crying over. Not that that is a bad thing.

It's been quite a while since I finished this game, but I remember feeling a bit emotional over the ending. I'm the dry, generally emotionless, haven't cried since I was a kid kind of guy too. Easily my favorite FF game of all-time, with VIII and VII being interchangeable in the 2 slot. I hated to see the game end. These days I just try to content myself by watching the FMV's I downloaded from some site, I forget which one.

I was pissed off. I thought the whole ending was too thrown together. I thought the most emotional part was when you went to fight Yunalesca and Tidus offers himself. The ending itself made me angry, but that could be because the last boss was lame as hell.

Good game though.

TM
06-10-2007, 02:47 PM
The Last boss was for cinematic purposes, you could then say the last proper boss is Braska's final aeon.

Joey
06-10-2007, 02:48 PM
From the time you fight Sin on top of the airship, the bosses were pathetic and didn't do much for me.

TM
06-10-2007, 02:52 PM
I kinda hate it when you fight the storyline boss and then you are thrown into a battle with someone completely fucking random, FFIX comes to mind as does FFX.

ROKI

FFX last boss wasnt random, but he was introduced too late in the storyline. It really looked rushed :(

jewess crabcake
06-10-2007, 05:45 PM
No he wasn't, the always soke of Yu Yevon, they never spoke of him controlling Sin until they rebelled, which was late in the story. Yu Yevon was introduced ever since the first temple.

I kinda like the "late-game" reveals. Ultimecia in VIII, and damn I liked the Occuria in XII. I complained about Yu-Yevon in the thread by the poster of that name, mainly because I don't like X, not late-game reveals in general.
