I've been trying to decide if i should get onimusha or devil may cry for awhile now. I've been hearing alot of good stuff about devil may cry but it also costs about 20 dollars more than onimusha. Is Devil May Cry worth the extra twenty bucks?

Well... Onimusha is older than Devil May Cry (about 1 years time). I suggest getting both if you have the money, if not, get Devil May Cry THEN get Onimusha.

Devil may cry will last longer, but Onimusha is (IMHO XP) a better game. It's cheaper too! I'd stick with Onimusha Warlords, but, if you're looking for a game with a long lifespan, go for DMC (Try beating Mundus on Dante must die mode, Hah, I dares ya')

i have played both and i own dmc. i can't get into dmc so go with onimusha, i like it better.

Thanks for the help, but does onimusha have an item system like the resident evil games, i played re3 and i absolutely loathed the way they would only let you carry a limited amount of stuff, an does onimusha do that dumb thing with the door when you go into a different room like in re3, that got on my nerves also.
I guess i'm leaning toward onimusha because i think that being a samurai would be cool and it is cheaper. I also think i would like the chinese type location in onimusha more than the old castle in devil may cry.

i don't think onimusha does that door thing, and i am not sure about the item thing, but i know you can carry more than in re3.

I own both and I'd go with DMC. Don't get me wrong. Onimusha is a great game, but the first time through DMC is pure heaven.

as far as the item question goes, i don't think there are enough items in onimusha to fill up your inventory, so don't worry about that.


anyways. onimusha is a lot of fun, but it's REALLY short. (took me about 3 hours to beat it the first time i played)

so if you want something you can spend some time on, devil may cry is the way to go, but the hack and slash gameplay in onimusha is kickass.

The DMC story line is a little weak compared to Onimusha but the DMC action is the best on the PS2. I say get both but DMC is slightly better and longer.

Guess that's not too hard..Devil May Cry off course, the gameplay is like 6 times better and it's like 8 times faster! It's phat! buy it.

All i have for PS2 is Onimusha. i played a demo of DMC and i like it a lot better though.But Warlords still r0xors.get DMC then Onimusha if the cash flow is sufficient.
