Im sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but, how can I change a JPEG or PNG image file into a usable album art? I just want to be able to use the pictures I already have as my album art for when Im listening to my music. Can somebody help out? Thanks.

If you're using Windows Media Player, right-click on the song and choose "Advanced Tag Editor".

Then on the 'pictures' tab, click on 'Add' and browse for your pic. Then choose your pic and click 'OK'. Play another song and then play your original song. The album pic should now appear.

I don't think the file-type matters.

Ok, I really dont like Windows media player so Im using VLC media player instead. In their latest version there a place that would display album art; does the same apply? If not, is there a program that will change this in advance? Thanks for the help.

Oh. I've never used VCL, so I'm afraid I can't help you. Sorry.

However, it should be about the same as Windows Media Player. Try right-clicking the song and see if there's a 'preference' option or something.

if youre using WMP11
Click the Library tab, and then browse to the album that is missing art.

Find a picture that you want to use for album art (the picture can be on your computer or on a Web page), right-click the picture, and then click Copy.

The original picture can be in any of the following formats: BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, or TIFF.

In your library, right-click the album art box, and then click Paste Album Art.

Maybe I’ll just have to wait until my VLC media player can do this (it’s still in development). Thank you guys anyway for your help.
