I was thinkign fo playing w/o a healer cuz I'm bored and have already beat the game w/ a good mixture of parties.

I was thinking:

Zidane
Steiner
Vivi
(Quina/Freyja)

Quina can get some heal spells right? Even tho its prob a pain. How hard is it it to get Quinas good spells?

How hard is the game w/o healers? Auto potion + Auto regen are fairly hard to get early on, hmmm...

Advice?

Really I just want a challenge for this next time that I play. So if anybody has any plz let me know.

I rarely use Eiko or Garnet, I just stick to Auto-Regen, Potion/such and Quina's White Wind.

Quina's White Wind is not that difficult to obtain, and I've completed the game without the use of a White Mage, so it is possible. Also, you're stuck with Garnet in the beginning, but you can always switch her out later on.

Also, Freya's Rei's Wind can be of some use.

Seriously, you can survive it perfectly without White Mages, me thinks. :) Indeed, think of Quina (how many times White Wind had been a life saver sexpot), plus some of Freya's and Amarant's healing skills.

:D So yeah, go try it out avoiding the use of Garnet and Eiko! Should be good. ^^

Amarant! How could I leave out him? He actually does have a couple of really helpful healing/supportive abilities:

Chakra: Selected character recovers 20% of their Max HP and MP.

Aura: Amarant casts Regen and Auto-Life on a selected party member.

Revive: Amarant recovers a KO'd party member and restores an amount of HP equal to (Target's Spirit +20)% of their Max HP.

Amarant, Freya, and Quina are the way to go if you want to do it without a healer.

All three of those are incredibly versatile and will serve you well most of thie time.

Amarant has a support ability that doubles strength of Chakra btw Zulu.

It looks like I will be using:

Zidane
Amarant
Freyja
Steiner
Quina (Maybe, at least untill I get Amarant).

I used Amarant a lot more than Eiko and Garnet for healing, I used the girls for their summon abilities more than anything, and Freya's pretty good too.

I've done hours worth of random battles using only Amarant as my healer. Chakra RAWKS, mainly because of the fact it also restores MP.

And yes, Quina is definitely worth training up.

I changed my mind:

Zidane
Vivi
Steiner/Freyja
Amarant

I like Steiner, as he goes well w/ Vivi but Freyja's jump attack has samed me many times. Hmm.

If you really want a challenge, just play a game that's inherently challenging. Trying to make an easy game harder with these silly restrictions is pretty lame.

Why not? It's fun trying something new with something old...it's harmless and fun, and it gives another reason to play through the game again :)

Because you could just as easily be trying something new with something new, of course. And if you have to look for reasons to play a game again, it probably isn't worth replaying in the first place.

Some of us like to go throught the game more than once trying something new, making it harder...it's fun and gives it all a new little twist. If you don't want to replay it then don't but some of us have a little bit more of an open mind.

That's not an open mind. That's a mind that can't move on.

Just because some of us like to replay and try something different doesn't mean we have a mind that can't move on...it's nice to be creative with stuff sometimes.

Whatever you say, Slick. My point is made.

I decided I will replay the gme and am looking for a unique group, Im tired of the same old Zidane + Vivi + White Mage + Physical Attacker.

Your point, Prak? Just what do you hope to achieve by disregarding everybody elses opinion but your own? You always seem to bully people rather than actually get to your point. If people like to replay a game, that does not mean that they're unable "to move on". I just don't get what your problem is. You seem to spend your entire time here trying to turn people away from their favorite Final Fantasy games, and what is the point of that? Also, your superiority complex has to go. You shame no one but yourself.

I disagree. :D Geez, let the guy play the game the way he want! Variations in playing the actual game don't have to be a lot more challenging, if you enjoy the game nonetheless. =)
