This thread is for discussing WoW, specifically for those Shriners who are interested in playing on the same server/guild. I'm sure that Prak or Prof. Nintendo Head will provide more details.

Not with any regularity, and not on any realm I've ever told anyone about.

I usually prefer horde, but the people I know are seldom willing to go there.

Before WoW I was more partial to Alliance, then after playing both factions on my friend's account I was turned off by it. Reasons being: the mass amunt of party invites I got (this was before the spam epidemic, mind you), players acting childish over trivial things such as duels at level 3, and the Alliance characters look like crap compared to the Horde, imo.

I don't play much anymore because as I said earlier, my computer sucks and I need a better one to access most of the BC content at higher than 2 FPS.

Unlike the guy posted before me, I am quite excited for it. I feel the PvP aspect of it with the destroyable buildings and the new battlegrounds would be a better touch. Plus looking at some of the gear, *aka the frostmourne stats* is amazing, and I want to see if: A. They finally fix ret paladins for threat control, and B. if Death Knights are all they are cracked up to be

That's funny because Alliance think the same about Horde. Maybe it's just the server...

I'm on Khaz'Goroth, which is an Oceanic server and my entire guild is over the age of twenty. We run Karazhan three nights a week and are just moving onto Zul'Aman.

Most of the horde on this server are young gankers...So I really do think it depends on what server you play.

But I swear it's an almost universal fact most Alliance are little kids. I have extensive experience in this matter since I was a GM for a while. (ex. "He called me stupid" that was a real report)

I Play Alliance And While I Notice Some Behaviour To Be Somewhat Childish Its Something That Only Becomes A Real Issue In PVP. With End Game Raiding You Can Kinda Spot The More Mature Guilds And Players And Try To Get Into A Guild That Suits Your Playstyle And Mentality.

I have a BE lock, but I'm not very good with him. I like my Pally better since he can take more than 4 hits. Plus locks were slightly nerfed in 2.3, but I haven't played since January so I don't know how 2.4 is besides Sunwell Plateau.

I love SUnwell Plateau as it is an easy way to make 150g a day whilst accumulating rep. My BE lock is level 17, but I started an Orc Shaman yesterday because shamans are my favourite class.

My elemental Shaman is in epics, and his lightning bolt does 1300 normal and 2200 - 2900 critical. With a 22% crit chance, it's rather frequent. And he also has the ability to cast an extra bolt in the same attack, which means he can do about 5000 damage in about 3 seconds. :)

We were 42 and the whole time thinking when they would gank us, since that is normally the case. Oh no, TM memories are flooding back!

haha that's happened to me...depending on my mood, sometimes I will assist instead of gank. But even on PvE, you can have a lot of fun.... We raid Horde towns for kicks, and watching the bastards flag PvP (even if they're level 11 lolz) is always good fun.

Oh geez, you remind me of the 70 Alliance that come to Xroads and he level 10s-15s trying to hit them.

It's funny to watch though, unless I forget to unflag myself when in Friendly Territory :_; Then I'm usually first to be knocked down. No one like BE Pallies...

My orc shammy is now level 16 lol. But I am trying to define his spec. He is enhance at the moment but I am really tempted to go Elemental (Just like my Ally Shaman).

Any opinions or advice of which spec to go?

EDIT: I heard something about a shammy who specced to "Dual Wield" in Enhance, but also specced Resoration....and therefore because a dual-mace-wielding healer. If this is true, it's a bloody good idea.

Yeah but rogues are so different to shammies. You can dual weild at level 10, I have to wait until im level 40. Therefore your agility will be a lot higher.

I guess this is just all a matter of opinion. I bought BC when my first character was level 25ish so I did enjoy the luxury of being able to play right through. I also enjoy Outlands a lot because the rewards are far greater, and as with any MMORPG, the main goal is to become stronger and stronger.

Really enjoying my gnome rogue at the moment, although levelling Engineering is a bit of a bitch. Hope to get him to level 40 by the end of the week, and ready for Tanaris / Zul'Farrak.

Hey hey- I've been playing WoW for three years – going on 4 - started on a PVP server - played there for about a year and a half then moved my character to a normal realm to join some real life friends. On the PVP server I took down MC / Ony / BWL / ZG - most of AQ (no C'thun) and a few bosses in Naxx. Fast forward to my current realm (Staghelm) - I started a guild and recently we fell apart (and now more recently we reformed with many of the core members, yay!). We took down Kara / Gruul / Mag / ZA / and 2 of the 6 bosses in SSC.

Yea, but for single target tanking warriors are the way to go. Each has their benefits and disadvantages. I'm not sure how all of this will change come the expansion though.

I've decided to spec my Shaman back to elemental for the expansion...but leave my pally prot as I'm sure the guild will want a tank to run with them through the up and coming instances.

Can i make a suggestion to any PVP'ers and people who actually hate when one realm gets overrun with a particular faction.

Silvermoon realm (EU)
Overrun with alliance, this realm is so filled with alliance, that u can click the "who" tab with the horde, and you will see less than 60 people on at any one time.
This isnt the worst part, the realm was full till just before the patch, now its just "high popularity". The horde get raided almost every night and have to sit back and watch simply because usually their is only 3 80s and 2 or 3 bots in orgrimmar of all places. it is almost dead in undercity most of the time.
This realm also happens to have a dead AH but only on the horde side. On alliance, 2silver bars can sell for 10gold. 1 shadowgem can sell for 9gold.

(Also, im looking to start a new character on the horde on a pvp or pvp rp realm. i have a 76 Belf, on Sporeggar (EU) but im not sure if the AH is still dead anymore on that realm)

All the other game mentions are worth playing, but you didn't get anywhere near the full experience of WoW. Paying for a game never really appealed to me either, but if you play it enough it outweighs $15 US/month (imo).

I'd be interested in joining a guild with anyone really. I have a few characters on shu'halo and one on shandris but I'd get a new one on another server if it meant having fun. I got my human tankadin to 80 about 2 weeks ago and now grinding for emblems until cataclysm comes out. Have to get more game time tho xD. I actually prefer alliance over horde tho horde kicks our butts in wintergrasp and other battlegrounds most of the time. Doesn't bother me to much though. anthonyp is my pallys name if anyone is on shu'halo.

That's because Alliance has no idea what they're doing. Nobody defends in Arathi Basin, they just take the bases and run off, so Horde comes and gets them; then Alliance wonders why they lose.

Then in Warsong Gulch, they focus TOO MUCH on defense at the flag, and not enough on offensive, so Horde wises up to this and just rushes us with their whole team at once, then if by some chance one of us DID go in to snag their flag while the Horde was away, that player will just get wiped out anyway on Horde's return trip. So Alliance just cannot seem to get their acts together in any scenario.

As for Wintergrasp, I haven't tried that one yet, mainly because I'm so addicted to AB and WG despite Alliance's lack of motivation or skill to win either of them. But I'll have to see what Wintergrasp is all about; maybe there'll be some mote of hope for victory there, as opposed to the others, but I highly doubt it.

Man, could they have possibly spammed any more flight paths across Eastern Kingdoms with this Cata patch data? Damn game gets easier every day. Blizzard, quit giving in to lazy peoples' bitching :mad: Is it so tough to walk a few extra minutes? GOSH!

Damn, 'cuz I was ready to chill with you on there if you wanted. But to the best of my knowledge there is no free server :( I think; I'm not certain, so don't take my word for it just yet until I know for sure. But if you don't wanna pay, as far as I know all you can do is just keep making trial accounts :(. It's only $14.99 a month though to continue it though.

besisdes, like i said to my best friend, i intend to go to the server that has the highest rates for everything "good" (exp, gold, drops, etc) so i can actually play casually, freely roaming the world of the warcraft lore, withouth a worry.

I agree with Swami. The difficulty is great, the need for crowd control is more imperative than ever, and it brings back the whole 'working as a team' notion which Lich King had destroyed.

Cata is quite good. It really exceeds my expectations, and I can't put into words how much win it is to fly around in Azeroth. Also makes me feel like a lowbie at level 80, LOL! I like how the quests are starting to feel a little more interactive and story-based, as opposed to just random "Kill 10 of these, 12 of those, 50 of these", and "Collect 5 of these", and get rewarded with items either too high for your level or that your class cannot wear or use. I've tried out every race and class, and I'm a diehard male Draenei Warrior fan, female Draenei Shaman fan, and I love all Blood Elves. Night Elves as Hunters (which is what my level 80 main is) and now Worgen and Goblins as just about anything round out my character list. There's only one thing I don't like about Cata, and that's what they did to Deadmines; I liked it the way it was. They could've at least given the option to either go Classic Deadmines or Heroic, which is what it permanently is now. But that's a trite concern.

This may be false, but I read that Blizzard is already preparing the next expansion and plan to release another one after that.

I hope they don't rush it; they spend a lot of time on Cata and it paid off.

Playing as a Murloc makes absolutely zero less than zero sense. They will never add races just for the hell of it and Murloc is one of those.

Yeah, true; Murlocs really contribute nothing to lore. That, and they are a prominent pest that both Alliance and Horde face so deciding a side would be next to impossible. Still, you cannot deny the potential awesomeness of that scenario. :D

Honestly I'd rather play as a Panderan or Naga. I just don't see the appeal of Murlocs.

Yeah, those two are pretty cool, especially Panderan. And Naga too, maybe with Murloc companions/pets :)

All I know is, Cataclysm is great. I love the idea of the Worgen simply getting on all fours and running rather than having a mount.

IMO, the animation is the only cool part, especially if you do it from Human form. But it seems kinda lazy to be like, "NO MOUNT!"

Bah, I still haven't gotten my Worgen leveled to 20 :p I'm lazy, so no crazy, rabid, charging, self-mounted Worgen for me yet. Been too busy doing Battlegrounds with my warrior; Eye of the Storm is pretty decent. It's become my favorite way to level. Takes a little an assload longer, but I gain XP and Honor at the same time, and I'm just not hardcore enough to care that my level bar is inching along slower than a snail.
