I have the new album, but I've only listened to it about three times so far so I can't say what I think with any finality yet.

I'm quite certain that this is their best album since Don't Back Down, but that's not saying all that much. I don't know quite how good it is yet. There are definitely a few clunkers on it, that's for sure. So far I think the best song is actually the slow Beach Boys-ey keyboard one, and I don't appear to be alone in that by any means.

Is this the one called Munki Brain?

If so, I briefly listened to it when they had some songs streaming on Punknews. Some of the songs I liked, others weirded me out because I didn't think The Queers used keyboards or anything, but I'm sure I could get used to that quite easily.

But my Queers knowledge is limited to only a handful of songs, actually. I think I've got an album somebody (you?) gave me for sampling them somewhere on my computer, so I should give that a proper listen some time.

I like 'em, but I have not (YET?) liked them enough for them to jump to the top of my list of bands I wanna order stuff from. If I saw an album for cheap I might pick it up, but I don't think I've ever seen Queers albums for sale here. Maybe I don't look in the Q section often enough.

Um, so in conclusion...The Queers and their new album are not bad from what I can tell?

Hello TK, I have never really listened to the Queers though I have meant to.

This is worse than I thought. The Queers helped invent this shit. As soon as I get home from school I'm uploading some of their early material to sendspace.

k, I will listen to that and the Summer Hits No 1 thing that I just found and report back on my educated opinion of The Queers.

Summer Hits No. 1 is rerecordings of a bunch of old songs that was done in the early 2000s. Some of them are better than the originals and some definitely aren't, but it's a pretty decent collection overall, I guess. I think hearing them in classic form is better though.
