I must exclaim, Berserk is a really cool manga.
I loved the animated series too, but i had to get into the manga if i was ever going to know what happens afterwards!

There was too much homosexuality in Berserk for my taste. If Gatts did not kick as much ass as he did, I would have stopped watching episode 2. In fact, I DID stop watching it until I was forced to watch it again. And it was good. Until the end.

I recently got caught up on the manga, but I have to say that I forced myself for about half of it. It's dragging pretty badly.

Really? I always wanted to start reading it to figure out wtf happened but after what you just said I don't know anymore lol. Did Berserk end btw? Or is it still going on?

It's ongoing. Over 30 volumes published and no end in sight.

Now don't get me wrong. There is still some merit in it and it might actually be to your liking if you tried reading it. Just be aware that once it hits the Retribution arc, the pacing stays pretty much the same, so if you're unhappy with it at that point, you should probably give up.

yeah, they kinda did a good thing (as much as i hate admitting that) by stopping the series at the end of the sacrifice.

But the manga does drag... it's still fun to read.
and yes... there is alot of gay people. but Guts/Gatts shows his manliness when he does Caska.
Even Griffith shows he's straight by.... hm. you know what. screw Griffith. He's a queer.
