here goes.. I am stuck at this situation...background...

Q1. I have "Episode Complete" for all areas except Bevelle with Mission Complete at Ch.5. I gave the Awesome sphere to the Youth League. I am at 99% (i didn't start with a game guide in Ch1 , so missed the moogle, kilika camera man and lost the run against the Leblanc gang at Mt. Gagazet, that's why only 99% argh!) I have beaten Vegnagun, but when Yuna is at the Farplane..... I didn't press "X" to initiate the Fayth Child (how tragic).. then I got i think is the Normal Ending with the speech + scenes on deck of Celcius.

What i'd like to know is, if i load game and beat Vegnagun again, but this time pressing "X" like crazy and answer "Yes", will I be able to see the Good Ending or will I get the sad ending?

Q2. I have already started on the the New Game Plus and trying to get things done which I have missed in Ch1 to get 100%. To get the Perfect Ending this time round, do i need to get " episode complete" for all areas at ch5 or just target at getting the "episode complete" for Bevelle or just need to finish all the hotspots for each chapter with 100% at the end?
(i will also take the advice on giving the awesome sphere to the New Yevon to see something new)

Thanks in advance!!!

Follow the requirements as described in this thread (Thread 13025). Don't bother hunting around for stuff that you missed, simply do this --- Give the Awesome Sphere to New Yevon this time around. Very important that you do that and you followed the requirements as described in that thread.

You may skip dialogue. You may skip scenes. You can power through the game in like five hours or less and still get the Perfect Ending as long as you follow the requirements described.

thanks! I gave the sphere to New Yevon and by just watching the scene with Baralai and the Gullwings pushed the % to 100%! YES! will follow the requirements named in the thread.

Thanks again!

No prob, I figured that would be what would happen. Enjoy the Perfect Ending!

P.S.: I personally would recommend this opportunity to try out some paths on the game you may not have tried before. Try getting a different outcome for the Mi'ihen investigation. Try getting Episode Concluded instead of Complete in some areas. Make some different choices and see some of the stuff you didn't see the first time arouind.

Hehe trying to get a different outcome in the Mi'ihen Investigation. God that's such a fucking bitch, even with Piggyback's Guide at my side, it's still possible to fail it. And that frustrates me. It kind of frustrated me that the game is like this in general. Do this fail that, don't do this fail that too. But I got 100% a few weeks ago and I FELT GOOD!

No, if you want to do the Mi'ihen Investigation, you need Rin's Mi'ihen Mystery Guide from GameFAQs. No fail, that guide is so well written --- as long as you follow the steps described on that one, it's taken care of.

Yeah! Got the Perfect Ending last night!! Woo hoo~~ what a great ending! it was also funny to watch Barthello and Dona. last time I got them back together but not this time and Barthello was sitting outside Dona's place crying!! haha
OH Yeah, it was also great to watch Shuyin doing the Blitz Ace etc special moves at the last battle. Last time I used the Catnip and killed him off way too quickly!

well, thanks for everything!

Now i am considering playing the game the 3rd time round, since it's possible to get the Zanarkand Abes at CH5 this time.

Oh, I did try to get on the Youth League base at Kilika by talking to the camera man in Ch1 and Ch3, but he still won't help me get to the base. Do I need to give the Awesome sphere to the Youth League + getting Episode Complete for Kilika in order to go there?

Agent0042

Not that I know of. I'm pretty sure its supposed to always be available as long as you at least talk to the cameraman. Did you accept the offer to view the base both times?

Regression

Yes I did. Both times in Ch1 and 3.... but still can't get on the base the first + second time I play the game... there must be something I have missed... but don't know what it is..

What happens when you talk to the guy who had the camera, what does he say?

hehe, I'm at 64 percent, and doing those dumb sphere network thingys...looking at cameras all day...can't wait to hit chapter 5! Any advice for an up and coming person trying to beat Final Fantasy X-2? My characters are at level 40 something, and I have all the Crimson Spehere, except for 5, 6 and 8. (the ones in the Via Purifico, and the one LeBlanc gives you)...Is Shuyin really that hard...? I have two Dark Knights and a gunner...Paine and Yuna are my dark knights, and Paine hits hard when her sword strikes...It's like 800-900 HP a hit...

Agent0042

Hard? Shuyin is a joke. If you lose to him at really any level, but especially that level, you should go hang your head in a corner in shame and never play FF again. Seriously, it is generally agreed that Shuyin is one of the lamest FF bosses ever --- you should have absolutely zero trouble with him.

Oh, and it's Via Infinito, not Purifico. Purifico was in X, it's not accessible in this game.

he said " would like you to take a look?" and I said "yes, thank you" both times........but that's was it. He didn't offer to show me the place at all.

Shuyin is really easy.... actually, all the bosses were quite easy.... getting 100% was not easy! haha. it was a real pain to get the publicity points above 400.... don't even want to count how times i have to press "x" to play the "flying bugs" game!

Oh, I am at the beginning of ff12!! cool graphics and great new battle system. (not going to keep talking about this tho, cuz this is for ffx2 :p)

ah, ok...so what's the difference between Purifico and Infinito? That's the real question...

Olde
03-12-2007, 08:18 PM
Purifico is only in FFX. It's the prison where the authorities in Bevelle put heretics and deviants, in hope that they won't make it out of there alive, since it has fiends in it.

Infinito is only in FFX-2. From my understanding, it's where Trema holed himself, becoming more powerful and twisted, guarding himself and his supremacy with 100 levels of monsters, all of which appear in the game.

Olde is correct.

Regression --- I'm not sure what you're saying. The dude asked if you wanted to see it, and you said "yes," but you didn't actually get to see it?

As for the Publicity Campaign, I know what you mean. Doing it the way you did it, instead of actually going out and campaigning, is the faster way, but it's also the much-more-boring way. At least it's pretty much 100% mindless, so you can do something else while you're doing it.

Roxas20
03-12-2007, 11:56 PM
the campaigning part is the worst...cuz you have to talk to every single person each chapter, with the exception of ch. 4...

Oh, I am sorry. I meant, both times I can look through the camera and see the base, but the camera man did not ask if I would like to go to the base at Ch5 when I went talk to him again. He only offered to let me see through the camera again at Ch5. Is he the one who offer to take YRP to the base or is it someone else? Have I been doing it all wrong?

shit...I messed up getting the percentage. Do you have to go into Clasko's Chocobo ranch to get him to install a comsphere, cuz I never got the option AT ALL to view any scenes from that area. Thus, making me miss over 2 percentage points...I guess I have to start over, don't I? Well, I do officially have the Good Ending, not the normal one. The CG ending where Tidus comes back. But, I don't have the Zanarkand ending now...

Agent0042
03-14-2007, 11:07 PM
You need to install the CommSphere in the ranch, yes. But what's this about starting all over? If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times --- New Game Plus is your friend and trying to get 100% in one playthrough is madness. (See tips as posted earlier in this thread.)

no worries! I got through the game twice now and got the perfect ending. Don't think i am going to play ffx-2 again anytime soon!! (well, mainly because i am playing ff12 now)

thanks Agent for your help!

do you start the game over (new game +) with the percentage that you left off with, or do you start back at 0%?

You start at the percentage you left off with.

I kind of believe there's a total of 103% to be honest. I used Piggyback's Guide and it states when a scene/thingy adds to your percentage. So at one point I was at 100% (YAYNESS) and I still found new scenes that'd add to the percentage total. Hence why I believe there's about 103%.
