I've looked for the original Dragon Ball manga issues (with colored pages and stuff alike) on the net, but I didn't find it in any website, including this one (the DB manga available is English-translated). Does anyone know if it's available by torrent or something?

I'm confused, so, you want it to be raw, in Japanese? - Look here, then.

Raw Manga.Com (http://www.rawmanga.com/dragonball.php)

Hope this is what you're looking for. I'm still a fan of the original Dragonball manga series, since childhood. Much respect. <3

I hope so too, but the download speed is way TOOOOOOOO slow; the first volume is taking me about 20 hours to get it, and they don't allow download manager usage! Have you ever downloaded any manga from this site? If yes, how much time did you take?

Well, I've never downloaded anything from it, yet. I only found it the other day when I was looking for raw volumes of New Grappler Baki. I just happened to notice Dragonball, up there, on the list.

I just tried downloading something, and yeah, wow. I'm getting the same sort of problem. Maybe the server is amazingly busy, or something? - Well, maybe you should try again, later. Bookmark it, at least? - Eh. Sorry. Thought it might help.

There was an actual manga series? I've only ever seen it on TV. It must be kinda rare here then?

Unfortunately, it's no better... I don't think it's "server busy" issue; even worldwide file-storage websites like MegaUpload, TurboUpload or RapidShare aren't that slow. The problem is not with my computer as well. So, I wonder what it could be...

Uhm, not really. I think Viz released the entire manga series in English, pretty much, all the way through Dragonball, and then the sequel series known as Dragonball Z, which is obviously the more famous of the two. But, in honesty, the whole tale of Dragonball and Dragonball Z are simply known as the collective Dragonball in Japan.

I, myself, prefer the original series that we know as Dragonball, in the West. During the childhood years, and whatnot.

This Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonball) article will probably explain everything a little better than I could.

... I don't know, honestly. Maybe it would be best we just don't know, ever?

Sure there was a manga series before the anime. That's the standard way plenty Japanese animations went through. Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball, Rurouni Kenshin, Video Girl Ai are few examples of the huge list. OK, there were some exceptions, like Yoroi Samurai Troopers (aka Ronin Warriors in USA) and the animes and OVAs based in games.

I've downloaded some of the volumes already. Exactly what I was searching for. Thank you very much, OiSanji.

Great... the RawManga website's mangas are in "http 404 - server not found". This website is useless now it doesn't have any manga issue available for downloading.
