What do you folks believe the chances are of Final Fantasy coming to xbox? I'd say they are pretty good, at least ff11. Think about it, buying all the addons for ps2 is going to discourage a lot of people. Xbox was built to go online, no addons necessary. It is the natural console for a MMORPG. Square would be committing harikari by not coming over to Xbox. Expect some big announcements at E3.

It depends on whether or not Square decide to produce FFs for XBox, and if so, I'll be none too pleased. I have a natural...disliking for that machine.

I believe they are rather slim, Square on the xbox yea right o_o I highly doubt Square will devolped games for that machine, but I guess certain people can always hope.

I don't think they will. Tons of people buy it for PS so I doubt it will come on X-Box. They didn't even put FF 9 or 10 on PC so X-Box has a slim chance.

i guess pc is way of the question here... But i think FF might come to X-Box, thou the chances might be a little slim...

Well the truth is that X-Box owners might actually have a feasible chance of playing FF on their system. I read somewhere that Microsoft and Square are currently in discussions about bringing FFXI to the console. I'm not sure how Sony feels about this (cause as we all know Sony owns about 19% of Square) but I know I'm pissed. I hate Bill Gates. And yes its b/c he has more money than a small country.

I think the chances of FF going on any other system are virtually slim. Square is selling good on PSX and PS@, so I doubt they'll change.

I highly doubt it I don't like the XBOX either it looks shit, I know it's got a hard drive but could'nt they kinda make the shelling attractive?

Anyway, the graphics on the XBOX are mean't to be better, but I was watching a demonstration of it, project gotham racing is shit compared to GT3 and Halo was projucing the graphics before my eyes so that show's how lazy they are at Microsoft.

But I don't want FF to go over to the XBOX and hope it's not.

square announced that they will not put any of their games on the xbox
they won't put on nintendo anymore either
the reason y is cuz squares already getting a lot of money just on the playstation 1 and 2

Lets face it, Square is a video game company. They are in the business to make money by selling games. If they can make money by developing games for the XBox then I say more power to em. Granted I'm not a fan of the XBox, but hell, if companies like Square started to make decent games for it then I just might get one myself.

As for seeing FFs on the console, I really can't make a call on that one. It would be a very smart idea to try and get its biggest seller on all three of the major systems that are out but chances are they would have a very hard time doing that being under contract with BOTH Nintendo and Sony. However, where Sony owns a good chunk of Square now any money Square makes is a bonus to Sony as well, so who knows, it just might happen.

I'm not sure if it'll happen because i have heard rumors of Square sticking t nintendo from now on. but i really hope they go to Xbox because it has amazing graphics.

Even though I'm a die-hard PS2 fan, I think the Gamecube is underrated...I think it has better graphics than Xbox does.

I went to a local store that specializes in console games and pc games and they had about 5 xboxes to demo games and only one was working the rest had a contact tech support with serial number screen on them. The guys at the store said that it happens everyday about an hour after they turn them on.

I am definately without a shadow of a doubt a PS2 fan. I hate the X-Box and and not really a fan of the Game Cube either. If FF goes to either of these I won't be happy. FF belongs on PSX and now PS2, so if it moves it will be stupid. It would be one of their all time best selling games and or series of games. To move, well, that would be stupid and maybe the market woulds go down, but it is FF we are talking about, I doub the market would ever go down for it.

theres more competition for sony and if sony loses money, then square goes down with it since they are kinda merged together

Square said that ff11 is going to be on ps2 only but last time i heard ff12 would probably be on ps2, gc, and x-box.

And yes, I still stand by my statement that having a best seller on all 3 of the major game systems out there is the smartest way to make money for a video game company...
