Use Fran she goes Berserk at the start and will start wailing on them also equip someone with the nethicite possibly Fran and have someone dedicated to Healing also Level up I was Level 20 or so when I fought him while I was overleveled you should be at level 14 or so game wise so bulid up your levels I would suggest to 17 or as long as you can stand the stupid alarm.

At this point, your Quickening can really help if you use it well. You want to aim for a Concurrence, that way, you can pretty much finish off all the soldiers at once and go straight for Judge Ghis. This could be risky, though, because it'll leave you without magick for a while unless you have Ethers you're willing to use. How's your License Board? I'd say you'll want at least a few good support abilities, and of course, make sure you can equip the best weapons and armor you have available.

with the quickening skills,on the lcence board if you give it to one person the rest cant go on that sqaure and use points on it can they,so howd.you know how to give it to?
seem as one guy sid hes at level 20 ive decided to train lol,i always eant to advance in the story than battle

There are enough quickening licesnses to get all 3 for all of the 6 characters. It doesn't really matter who you want to license a quickening for first. If only one person has one though, you're going to have to try to get three off before your 4 seconds runs out to trigger the concurrence Inferno. This may be difficult if you don't understand how to use quickenings yet. Check out the forum charter for a link to the Quickening thread.

P.S. Quickening damage is non-elemental, so don't fret about them healing any enemies.

I like to try to get three for one character as soon as possible, just so that all of the better Concurrences become available. Beyond that, I try to build evenly.

Your MP has to be full in order to use it. At some point you'll have 2 and/or 3 MP bars, and depending on the level of the Quickening you'll use it will use one, two or all three bars.

If you run, do you still get the bestiary entry?

I never even considered running away. I sat there and kept them all alive until I had properly emptied thier pockets. And then, well you know...

It does say to run, but why would I do that when I know I need the bestiary entry, and I know what I can steal from them. Please remember, Ultima, that I am crazy overleveled, and pretty much always have been. It has its benefits. I've been able to get espers as soon as they become available, and I can stroll around within the Necrohol.

I know it sounds insane, but you can grab the Zodiac spear as soon as you finish Raithwall's tomb, if you can knock out King Bomb and survive the fiends of the Necrohol.

I'd love to give out grand leveling schemes, but besides the one listed in the battery mimic thread (Thread 37023), all I've got is the "Fill-in-the-bestiary-and-shop-for-loot" method. I've been killing Leschach Entites in Paramina recently, but unfortunately you aren't ready for that.

For most average gamers you RUN it is as simple as that. The beast entry can be gotten later during a Hunt where that stupid Lizard shows up he is tougher but so should you be by that time.

I keep ending up like a drugged up, out cold, naked prostitute when i fight Cid, I'm underleveled but It's pretty much too late to level up, if only there was a GCR in the lab....

Revaninja

Well there are a few ways to level all through out Cid's lab there are rooms with Monsters in them like Hectaeyes and a few others also the judges do come out randomnly as you explore so you can do some leveling.

First take out those floating spheres that surround him all of them. While those are up Cid can't be hurt. Once those are taken care of move close and behind cid and attack. The behind is too avoid his special since it moves in a straight line from the back forward leaving the upper area untouched and cid stays in that area. Another tactic is to use Reddas stay back heal Reddas and let him handle Cid with spells from you. That is really all you need to do good luck.

what levels do you recommend for me then? My highest is lv 37

Revaninja
03-08-2007, 05:42 PM
Then you should be fine since the game can be beat at roughly level 40 or so and you are well before the end so you should be fine. Just try to keep healed through magic not potions and if need be after the spheres are gone quicken Cid a few times to give his health a serious kick.

If you use your Quickenings, aim for a Concurrence --- it's the only way to affect all targets when using that. What's your magicks like? Make sure of course to do the usual --- set up various protective / enhacement, etc. I would recommend having that on all your characters going in --- just set it up at the save point, if you don't already have it set on Gambit.

my levels are 37 - 45 ive been meaning to do training though i just get sick of it somtimes and want to advance in the story.

but is very slow pacing in this game but seems to be getting more interesting.

im also concidering starting again due to the Zodiac Spear situation

also any hints on how to get monney im really lacking and still have the weapons i used in the D.Laboratory

Edit Note:

Also Does anyone know any good places to train up?

Ive been at the Tchita Uplands fighting against them Malboro's and getting round 900 Exp + i have the Accessory which doubles your Exp so i get 1800 each one,but its now getting slow so i need a new place before Giruvegan, preferably easyish monesters.Any Surgestions?

cast haste protect and regen before the battle and you should manage fine, if your chars are equally levelled you can handle Tyrant with those + effects there, make sure everyone's equipped with carabiner armour and giant helmets for armour, use diamond swords and crystal shields.
